The REAL Wonder Woman on Sarah Palin: “America Should Be Very Afraid”

The REAL Wonder Woman on Sarah Palin: “America Should Be Very Afraid” In an interview this morning about her three-week run at an Atlantic City casino, I offhandedly asked “Wonder Woman” Lynda Carter how she felt about the media calling VP candidate Sarah Palin the “new Wonder Woman.” I wasn’t expecting her no-holds-barred response:

Don’t get me started. She’s the anti-Wonder Woman. She’s judgmental and dictatorial, telling people how they’ve got to live their lives. And a superior religious self-righteousness … that’s just not what Wonder Woman is about. Hillary Clinton is a lot more like Wonder Woman than Mrs. Palin. She did it all, didn’t she?

No one has the right to dictate, particularly in this country, to force your own personal views upon the populace — religious views. I think that is suppressive, oppressive, and anti-American. We are the loyal opposition. That’s the whole point of this country: freedom of speech, personal rights, personal freedom. Nor would Wonder Woman be the person to tell people how to live their lives. Worry about your own life! Worry about your own family! Don’t be telling me what I want to do with mine.

I like John McCain. But this woman — it’s anathema to me what she stands for. I think America should be very afraid. Very afraid. Separation of church and state is the one thing the creators of the Constitution did agree on — that it wasn’t to be a religious government. People should feel free to speak their minds about religion but not dictate it or put it into law.

What I don’t understand, honestly, is how anyone can even begin to say they know the mind of God. Who do they think they are? I think that’s ridiculous. I know what God is in my life. Now I am sure that she’s not all just that. But it’s enough to me. It’s enough for me to have a visceral reaction. And it makes me mad.

People need to speak up. Doesn’t mean that I’m godless. Doesn’t mean that I am a murderer. What I hate is this demonization of everybody but one position. You’re un-American because you’re against the war. It’s such bullshit. Fear. It’s really such a finite way of thinking about God to think that your measley little mind can know the mind of God. It’s a very little God that way. I think that God’s bigger. I don’t presume to know his mind. Or her mind.

Huh, what has Lynda Carter done since Wonder Woman? Nothing really, bitterness is such an ugly thing to see.

Also isn't funny that Lynda Carter got her fame from the feminazi antithisis, showing her T & A.

Note to idiot lib writer; Wonder Woman is a fictional character. There is no “real” Wonder Woman.

There’s that word again: AFRAID.

Almost every article about the Democrats. Fear. Afraid. Frightened. Scared.

These people aren’t fit for power of any kind. All they know is how to live by fear. And they’ll rule by it, too.

I was not aware the Lynda Carter lived in Alaska and knew Sarah Palin.
Because that is the only way the above statement could be an informed opinion and not just standard liberal whining.
By the way Lynda, what have you done in the past 20 years?

Guess the script-reading wonder woman is a bit intimidated by a real wonder woman. Heh. Gads, libs are so very shallow.

Wasn't it their icon, FDR, who said "We have nothing to fear, but fear itself."

What the heck is she talking about? I’ve never seen an election where they just make up crap and think people are going to believe it. Go back to one-hit-wonderdom Lynda. Save your views for the Onion.

Two things:

One: "Wonder Woman" isn't REAL. There can't be a "real Wonder Woman"

Two: Isn't AMAZING that these assorted pimps and whores of the "entertainment" industry think that THEY are real, as in, that when they speak about something that they know nothing about, people should listen?

It’s funny the right is constantly accused of fear mongering the terrorism issue, there is only one party throwing around the word fear these days.

Obama is feeling usurped by Palin. Obama is not now the special boy, the favorite, who gets the adoration of the masses and he is hurting. He wants to reclaim his pop star status and stoops to sneaky, immature name calling with the media and Hollywood in attack mode. The right has found a fairy princess in Palin that they have no fear in identifying with. They are proud to be called Republicans now. That Republicans could actually be hockey moms endears them to Palin, after years of Hollywood implying that Left leaning is the norm and what we should be aspiring to as seen in the movies and TV. To hear Matt Damon or Ebert speak on Palin sounds like she is not only unfit for office but is also a wack job. Their model of "coolness" and normalcy must mean that abortions and gay marriage are OK because that is what Hollywood is all about. There is no room on the Democrat's ticket for anything but these progressive positions. And that is part of the problem with conservatives feeling isolated and in the minority for many years. Because of conservative "unprogressivness," they have been led to feel that they are somehow un-American. America has been associated with the "new," the innovative, having a system of government unlike anything in the history of Europe, on the cutting edge of technology and thought. Now with Palin conservative Americans have their pop star and can feel proud that they are quite sane and normal: that they are hockey moms, and that it is all right to live their lives with God and guns, if they should desire. The Left has been brutal in this respect of creating a mental tyranny, imposing rigid PC codes and defining the values of normalcy. But they are on the defensive now because conservatives too can have their normal hockey mom heroes and can now take pride in identifying in the values of Sara Palin.

For years conservative have been led to feel shameful for being conservatives and now shame and reproach must be leveled at Democrats and their mind police media for their spectacular bias and tawdry tactics

Doesn’t mean that I am a murderer.

It sounds to me like 'Wonder Woman' has some post traumatic abortion stress.

It’s not that liberals are ignorant. It’s that they know so much that isn’t so.
