Gov. Palin looks just as good without them. but I must say she looks good in those frames as well. It is a testament to the fact that optical frames come and go with the fasion of the times... Buddy Hollidays (aka birth control {BC} super retro)frames do look good on some people.
Though of course not on a guy like me.

Sarah Palin puts a lot of effort into not looking like a beauty queen. Behind the glasses, the formless suits, and the ridiculous Diana Moon Glampers-approved hairdo, is an attempt to divert attention from her looks so people will take her more seriously.

Of course, when you are as attractive as Palin is, there is only so much you can do.
