Hmm I’m not talking about jihad, I was talking about the other poster that I pinged who said that al qaeda are defiling Islam by using human shields. There is 7adith to justify killing Muslim human shields (the religious concept of tatarrus elaborated on extensively by al-Qaeda) & a7adith to justify anything you want. Not just crimes, but obvious pagan practices & general weirdo stuff. What defiling?

As for jihad, it means struggle but in a religious context. No one says in colloquial dialect that you’re having a jihad to fix your car. Sure you can say you’re having a jihad to quit smoking - but this means that you’re doing it for Islamic reasons. & in any case, it has always been primarily used to refer to war & violence. When you use the word jihad in Arabic, it is first assumed that you mean war & if you mean it as an inner struggle or a struggle to quit smoking for God, you must clarify.

& off topic but, I’m asking every Jew to please help me find a copy online or something that can be mailed to me of the Tanakh in Arabic. I’m trying to convert an Emirati into a Noachide & he wants to read it in Arabic.
