My understanding was that Obama’s mother met Obama’s father in a Russian class in Hawaii.

They most likely never married. There is NO record of their marriage — as I read in multiple places, and as you pointed out, even Obama claims to not be certain “about the details”.

Not to mention the “minor” detail, that Obama’s Father was already married, when he dated Obama’s Mother.

Obama is in no position to throw stones.

Anna, who hadn't had a boyfriend in high school, was seventeen years old and an anthropology student when she met Obama Sr.

They were both students at the University of Hawaii, East-West Center at Manoa and they met in a Russian-language course at a time when the Russian language was inextricably mixed up with communism.

I’ll buy the thought that radicalism was the raison de etre of his mother’s mental processes—but there is a contradiction in that and her marriages to TWO muslims, not the most liberal faith when it comes to politics or the place of women.
