Go Sarah! I just wish she was at the top of the ticket.
Sarah is a wonderful pick. Each of her attributes are great.
I bet she’s studying all day!
I betcha Sarah is the also girl of Bill and Hillary’s dreams. (in their own separate ways - if you know what I mean)
Amen. I totally agree.
I wish she was top of the ticket as well :-(
Just read this over on Jerry Pournell’s site.

“Of course Obama will triangulate to the center as quickly as possible. McCain doesn’t need to do that; the country club Republicans of which he is a prime example have always tried to claim the political center, to the dismay of the conservative Republicans. Palin will undoubtedly stay where she has always been, conservative personally and libertarian-republican politically. Were matters left to her, she would leave a great number of issues to the states — as would I. I’d rather see her President than McCain, but we live with the choices we have.
Mr. Heinlein once speculated that we ought to reserve high political office for women with children because they tend to see things a bit more realistically. While I didn’t necessarily agree with him, I never won the argument with him. On the other hand, Robert used to take positions for the sheer fun of it. (Actually I think he’d have preferred that anyone elected be a woman with children who could solve quadratic equations in her head, but he never went quite that far in public statements. Ginny never had children, but she could certainly do the math....)”
I have been looking at video interviews with and about Palin for the past couple of hours. This woman is dynamite. With this selection of her as his running mate, McCain has just laid the foundations of the future of the Republican party.
A fresh and reviving wind has just blow through the stuffy and corrupt corridors of Washington, D.C. I would imagine that some of the politicians that lurk in those stale corridors fail understand what has happened. All they will know is that all of a sudden they feel quite dizzy from this sudden rush of oxygen. Either they will have to learn how to breath this new rush of air, or they will be blown away.
What Palin has unleashed is unstoppable. There will of course be a great deal of work ahead. The opposition will put as many obstacles as possible in the way of this reform movement of the Republican party. Part of the opposition with be the country club Republicans that are the source of the corruption of the party. But it is time to clean out the club house. It stinks in there.
