Dear FReepers,
I received the following e-mail from my Uncle Frank, regarding his grandaughter (my cousin) Fiamma.
* * *
This e-mail is very serious! I am hoping for a Prayer Ladder. We need a Miracle.
My granddaughter had a cancer removed from the colon 2 years ago. She is now 22 years old and has been informed that the cancer has spread and she must have another operation and more chemotherapy.
Fiamma is scheduled for surgery Tuesday August 26th at 12:00 noon, Omaha time.
Im asking all of you who can to pray for Fiamma, especially at that time, that God may guide the surgeons hands for a completely successful outcome to this operation.
I also ask that you pass this message on to anyone you know who will help with this effort.
Thanks and God bless, Frank (and Huntress)
Could you please ping your prayer lists? Thanks.
Will be praying for her.
I will pray for her Huntress.(((Hugs)))
My family and I will pray for her.
Prayers for your cousin Fiamma.
Prayers for a successful surgery.
Prayers for healing, peace and courage.
Chemo is a death sentence. There is a reason why a majority of oncologists would not treat themselves via chemo. It destroys the body's immune system.
I’m so sorry. Yes, I’ll pray.
I'll remember her in prayers at Mass this morning.
Please keep us informed.
God's blessings to Fiamma, her family, and you.
Jay

Don't post goofy alternative medicine speculations on a PRAYER thread, for heaven's sake!
Why don't you PRAY!?!?!?!?!
O GOD of heavenly powers, who, by the might of thy command, drivest away from mens bodies all sickness and all infirmity; Be present in thy goodness with this thy servant Fiamma, that her weakness may be banished and her strength recalled; that her health being thereupon restored, she may bless thy holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
You bet. Prayers up for her and for those who care for her and those who love her.
Prayers up!
A visiting pastor was at our church on Sunday. His sermon was about prayer. He mentioned a study done with over 400 people in a cardiac group. Half received prayer and half did not. The group that received prayer did much better with fewer complications. (I think we already knew this.)
My thoughts and prayers are with Fiamma and her family.
Chemo is not a death sentence; it is a life line. In the past 10 years the scientist have come up with many formulas to wipe out different kinds of cancer. My husband was diagnosed with lymphoma 4 years ago, and with chemo it has not shown back up. My father, 45 years ago was one of the first complete cures of colon cancer, and he lived until he was 83. So, i am a believer! Prayers for your loved one, originator of this post : )
Albion, I assume you have a super big prayer list.
Prayers up!
Praying now.
