Russia has isolared itself, we will first help Georgians, then do something about Russia. Too much to say we were near going to war. Quoting Condi.
last night was a shock to me...
For the very first time, I found myself truly liking McCain....
I admire Condi so much, I find her to be so well spoken, so intelligent, so prepared.
LOLing at Scheifer asking if the whole situation is “our” fault. Typical liberal, blame america first member of the media. Disgraceful.
Condi knocks it out of the park.
Schieffer says mightn’t the conflict be our fault because we encouraged Georgia. Condi says told everyone was warned not to use force. The two small territories final status will be settled through negotiations.
Same here eeevil! I thought McCain was wonderful and in fact, sent him a donation this morning based on his performance last night. I think a lot of people were utterly surprised by his performance, and based on the look on David Gergan’s face last night and his commentary, he was stunned at how well McCain did.
Mitchell really is a shameless (and calculating) rumor-mongerer.
If Holbrook is indeed saying these things (i.e. it is Russia’s fault) then we should acknowledge his honesty and attempt to redeem himself among honorable Americans.
DBM is so lacking in news finding and so full of bias. For one thing I’d like to know how all those savage Chechnians got in there to rape, pillage and plunder. I would not be surprised if the Russians airlifted them in after emptying their prisons and mental hospitals (ala Castro’s Mariel stunt). So now the Ruskies say, “I ain’t us. It is a spontaneous outburst of freedom fighters.”
Obama rapid response is becoming a farce.
It is basicly deny fast regardless of fact.
(see CNN hissy fit after the warren debate)
Bayh and Pawlenty both say no news on the Veepstakes. Schieffer asks what about Georgia. Pawlenty says this shows we need McCain. Bayh says: “WE ARE NOT ALL GRORGIANS”
FtN
Will: both did well last night. Obama wins IF he can get 30-35% of the evangelical vote.
Dionne: Obama did well with audience.
Jan Crawford Greenberg: McCain energized the group and Supreme Court comments were good.
Gerson: Obama did okay but does not speak well to evangelical issues. Obama has natural limitations.
Dionne: Young evangelicals dont care about abortion and traditional issues.
Greenberg: Strength and experience count. McCain has it. Supreme Court is important.
Will: Roe v Wade misunderstood by most Americans.
Greenberg: GOP base will turn out because of Supreme Court
Dionne: Romney/Mormon problem? He says yes. Dem VP will be Bayh or Bidden.
Will: Sam Nunn for VP
Darn I missed here there and we have no mtp only olympics.
Of course, maybe people who would even consider voting for Barack Obama would know the difference between Edwards and the other guy.
Me too. I did not think McCain had it in him, but I now do. Reflecting on his past, Annapolis, family military history (which Harkin says is a negative), courage and being a maverick, etc., I guess it was there all the time. He is gelling at the right time. Morphing into Luke Skywalker before our very eyes!
FYI
Debate is being rerun on c-span right now.
Obama is ummmmm....up ahhh now.
Yeah, me too, he hit a bases loaded grand slam last night, can’t wait to see what Rush does with it.
GEORGIANS.
