By his way of thinking a new dog would mean he really didn’t love the one we lost. Nope, You just choose to love again.

Love multiplies the more you spread it around.

I think when you in mourning and hurting you look at it that way sometimes but then realize that as you say, you can love again. It’s not a replacement but a choice to experience that type of love again.

It’s funny how they’re so many things to you, your friend, your child, your protector, all in one little package of fur.
