Actually, he needs to sue Adam, because it was his sin that caused all of this.
However, how can an atheist sue someone he doesn't believe exists? Isn't this suit tantamount to an admission of the existence of God?

I couldn't remember why that name struck a chord in my mind until I saw his picture. I remember him from the days when I taught at Creighton University. One of my fellow econ profs was a far-left liberal and would invite Ernie to come in and speak to his classes. He was pretty much a nut job then and it appears he hasn't made any progress in the past 30 years.

Chambers, an atheist, requested that the court acknowledge the presence of God in the courtroom so he wouldn't be required to "serve notice" of the trial, according to the Omaha World-Herald.Chambers, serve the notice yourself, you jackass!

If the judge has a sense of humor, he'd defer the case to a "higher" court.

The complaint drew widespread criticism when Chambers filed the lawsuit against God last year for creating "fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes, pestilential plagues, ferocious famines, devastating droughts, genocidal wars, birth defects and the like."..
He stole this idea from a movie. I can't remember the name, but it starred Billy Connelly(sp?) as a man who sued God because his insurance turned down a flood or fire or something as an 'act of God'...

Doesn’t this lawsuit require that he recognize God’s existence? And if he wins, what does he get?

Harps back to the book by C.S. Lewis: “God in the Dock”. The ‘dock’ in this case is the courtroom dock. In this series of essays Lewis contends that modern man has essentially attempted to put God on trial.
