CSPAN has shut down coverage of the House. The lights have been turned out.
House Republicans are still there, raising cain- trying to get them to turn the lights back on and continue debating over drilling!!!

I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."
The gentleman on the phone was very nice, but the tone of his voice was that he was getting swamped with calls from around the nation!!!!!!!!! Is it on television now? I am checking my Time-Warner Cable Channels for C-Span - Channel 60: Is for coverage on the Senate, so I clicked, guess who was on???? - Harry, The Undertaker Reid!!!!!! What a puss on that gavone!!!!!! Channel 70: Coverage for the House, nothing on, what happened??????/Just Asking - seoul62.......

Pelosi , D-Calif., didn’t seem inclined to do anything to bring the GOP’s off-the-books filibuster to an end.
“The House is in adjournment. The lights are off, the mikes are off,’’ said Pelosi spokesman Brendan Daly. “They can talk all they want. We’re just doing what we normally do.’’
But Pelosi’s staff did try to minimize the amount of attention the rump filibuster was getting.
They ordered the staff of the press gallery to lock the doors to the balcony overlooking the chamber, as is the usual practice when the House is not in session.
So, GOP members started a shuttle system, taking turns moving from floor to gallery to join reporters as they watched the proceedings.
Around 12:30 p.m., the bright TV lights in the chamber were turned off, as Chief Deputy Minority Whip Eric Cantor, R-Va., was speaking.
Cantor didn’t miss a beat, declaring, “Turn off the lights, turn off the mikes, kick out the press because they [the Democrats]don’t want to deal with this important issue.”

Seems a necessity, as apparently there are a good many who do not understand the majority party sets the rules/procedures for each House. It is not fair to blame C-SPAN for not having the cameras on, blasting "un-American," etal. These kinds of comments were made during the Clinton years, when C-SPAN would leave a House hearing investigating WH shenanigans in order to comply with its mandate to broadcast the House when in Session, Lamb getting all manner of "He's biased!" charges, no matter how many times it is explained that C-SPAN covers the Floor of the House when IN SESSION and leaves it when the House ADJOURNS.
Yep and we better watch our collective backs because the liberals are doing everything they can to fix this "problem"

The Republican party needs to turn this whole thing into an ad...including saying that the Dem's turned off the lights and shut down the camera's so the American people could not see the debate. Stifling debate, refusing to do what can be done to lower gas prices, this is the Democratic party.
