Bush chides Congress for inaction on oil
Chicago Tribune ^ | 7/20/08 | Mark Silva

Posted on 07/30/2008 9:22:53 AM PDT by DallasBiff

President Bush's love-hate relationship with a Democratic-controlled Congress - alternately calling on leaders for harmonious cooperation and chiding them for irresponsible inaction - churned out an acrimonious message today, as Congress prepares for a summer recess without acting on energy problems.

This is old stuff, getting to be ancient history, nearly archeological, thread. Anything Congress might do would not show up until 09 anyway.

Congress is going to do as little as possible. The Democrats are owned by the environmentalists.

If the approval rate for Congress reaches 5%, it should be shut down for not doing the peoples business. The country could be run by the President and the Judical system. I believe the people would go for this since Congress is useless anyway. Cut off their salaries, medical, expense accounts and all other items that cost the country money. Just send them home and if they refuse to do the peoples business, call for an election to replace them. Congress forgets that the people have the right to replace their government any time they wish. Maybe, for the first time in our history, it’s time to do that.

Sorry, the date was a typo on my part. I know that I am just a little serf with human frailties, unlike your Queen Nancy who is a goddess who is going to save the planet.

President Bush should wait until they leave on recess, then call them back into emergency session to vote on the energy bill. If they attempt to adjourn without action, force a roll call vote on adjournment. Then it becomes a definitive campaign issue.

I see that two cynics have shown up. Instead of whining why don't you two applaud that some political action is being done.

Also how come you two don't criticize your Queen Nancy for her inaction?

Best Amazon.com review of Nancy Pelosi’s book so far
By Michelle Malkin  •  July 30, 2008 06:02 AM

Amazon.com reviewer Chaz Smith posts a review of Nancy the Navigator Pelosi’s new book, “Know Your Power,” currently ranked #450 despite a ton of fawning press coverage. Enjoy:

Doing her part to hasten Global Warming, July 29, 2008
By Chaz Smith

The democrat matron of global warming hysteria is doing her part to destroy the planet by writing an unnecessary book - to be made out of paper and ultimately tossed in a landfill?

Even if her publishers are using recycled paper, they are still using materials that could be used for a better purpose. The printing process and delivery of the book also squander valuable energy and resources that could go to better use.

So park your SUVs and turn off your air conditioners… Nancy needs the power to make profits from her book.

Anyone who buys this book should, out of deference for the planet, multipurpose the material and use it for toilet paper - preferably before they read it.

"Drilling" being used as political capital is just a gambit.. and has no resemblance to intelligent policy.. a stopped clock is correct twice a day but still should not be used to tell time..

BIG government republicans are stealth democrats..
Always in every case.. completely and absolutely..
AND should be watched, MARKED... as democrat agents..

McLaim is also, "a Unite'er not a Divide'er"...
That has united many republicans with democrats.. as Bush has..

“...acrimonious message”

When W points out Dem inaction, its “acrimonious”.

When Harry calls W a loser or Nancy calls him a failure, it’s ummmm uncommented upon.

Nancy and Harry think they can hold and extend their majorities in November. Until polls change, they won’t do anything.
