Sehtare7/28/2008 6:45:02 AM One of the fathers holding his autistic child during the protest certainly looks old, and I wonder why there are so many autistic children who have "old" parents. Maybe people shouldn't wait until their reproductive organs are old before they have children. I wonder what the statistics have to say on that one. The parents I know who have autistic children are "nuts" and I am not surprised that their kids have problems. You reap what you sow.

The one person I know who has a boy who has been diagnosed with autism (the real serious thing, not the “just a little too bored to talk to you kind”) had him when she was in her mid to late 40’s.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a young woman with an autistic child.
