Expensed against the campaign funds, I'm sure. Couldn't do that with their gifts. Didn't he just drag one of his daughters to Montana for her birthday? That was all for her, right? Everything is about him, Michelle, and his campaign.
Not buying your kids birthday presents? That is beyond strange. What did he have kids for to be photo ops and do the things his wife didn’t want to do. Being 10 and 7 and in charge of putting themselves to bed? Not at my home when the kids were younger.

Your post reminds me why I love my wife. After the riots downtown in 2001 and the Clintons Mrs Stan Chesley Federal Judge’s resulting total emasculation of the Cincy Police, panhandlers absolutely ruled. Anyway, one night we went to a nice restaurant downtown and because nobody dared to go downtown in that atmosphere, we parked right in front of the place. As we got out of the car a very well fed fellow immediately accosted us for money for “food”. Without missing a beat my wife opened the backdoor of the car and grabbed an opened but large bag of potato chips and presented them to him. He actually became disoriented and mute, and as we entered the restaurant he put the chips in a garbage can.

Actually, it would be very cool to see a guest list of an Obama slumber party. How many parents came to it too?
Spending “hundreds” for a slumber party may include wine, canapes and arugula for the parents of the child attendees.

P.S. Most everyone gives parties. Obama and Michelle spend big bucks for their kids parties. Why??

Key word: community. Individuals with rights are replaced with 'community' rights. Most communists identify with 'community', often because they are too ugly, untalented, cowardly, and lazy to succeed on their own. They really dig 'strength in numbers'.
These are the primary reasons Obama is a communitist. Did I mention he's a pussy? [one's balls get infinately bigger with a crowd of like-thinking communitists standing behind you.] There are probably only a handful of folks here who've experienced the 'joy' of an ecounter with people of African decent, but I'll just say that it can get 'communitarian' very quick, if you know what I mean.
Tribes are cool, but individual rights rule.
