A bit of advice for Elisabeth - If a liberal brings up a "fact" that you've never heard before and it sounds ludicrous, it's not true.
One hundred percent of the time, it's not true. They make shit up and tell their friends who believe it, and then their friends repeat the dumb made up fact to them a week later and they forget that they originally made it up, so it appears true to them.
Tell them to STFU. Always.
This is rampant on college campuses, which, unfortunately, is where I worked until I retired two months ago. And if you call them on it (a favorite pastime of mine) and they get caught with their pants down, they don't admit they're wrong, they start personal attacks on you because they know they're lying. Still, if you ignore their attack, hold your cool, and demand for the evidence to support whatever piece of BS it is that they're trying to foist onto the students, you usually can get the last word in ("That's what I thought...no evidence for your stupid statement.") and maybe...just maybe...sway one student's mind or at least make them pause and think for a moment. It doesn't win you any friends on campus, but it sure is fun.
“If a liberal brings up a “fact” that you’ve never heard before and it sounds ludicrous, it’s not true.”
You’ve hit the nail on the head.
I expect a lot more of this sort of lie / Internet meme to spread over the next few months. Like “the draft is coming back,” lie that MTV and the DNC pushed back in ‘04.
