Throughout history private conversations between top White House officials have been lost to posterity, email is only slightly different in that the conversation is written and transmitted electronically, very similar to a phone call. It might be interesting for a historian to dig through email archives but it wont aid the functitoning of our government. The really important consideration is that we put people in office who we trust to make decisions and then let them to do so.
