Because the USSS and the State Dept. are packed with Clinton holdouts who have a vested interest in disrupting the Bush Admin. and the GWOT, and if someone in the Administration gets whacked, then it's a bonus for them.
All of the kiss-and-tell books about "former SS agents" and "former WH aides" saying how hated the Clintons were by the staff and support, holds the same water as Scott McClellan. Which is to say, none. The WH staff is full of Bill Clinton loyalists who are simply marking time until next year, and a third Clinton term.

My other question after reading that is why aren’t the arrested when they try to use false documents to get into what can be considered “sensitive” areas?

You want I should talk to Medea about making one for you? I’m making up a bunch of them for some of the other ladies anyway. (They’re actually press passes issued by Medea’s other organization, Global Exchange. The photo’s a joke - replace the word “multipass” with PRESS and you get the idea.)

A press pass lets you get into places and gives you a certain immunity from the police. These are LEGITIMATE passes - Medea is one of the founders of Global Exchange. She authorized me to duplicate her own press pass and issue them to select Code Pink members in order to facilitate their entry into Congressional hearings and other political events around DC. No, not what I was suggesting at all. Don’t know how you got that from my post. I was talking about the press, not the Secret Service. I didn’t even mention the SS. I have nothing but respect for the Secret Service.

Well, you said “they” and I didn’t know who you meant.
Some of us have been asking the question “why” about the SS letting these people get so close to, recently, Secretary of State Rice, that the same one who rushed the stage toward the President was - in the context of Rice testifying on Capitol Hill - able to push fake bloodied hands towards the SOS’s face and head (to make her point that Rice has blood on her hands, doncha know) but she could have done something even worse.
This same person was allowed into the citizenship event and rushed the stage toward the President (someone pointed out that she is a Palestinian...not just code pink...how do ya like THAT?).
The SS is in ultimate control of Presidental security, and I believe of Rice’s security as well.
So I assumed you were calling the SS “they” because they’re ultimately in charge, not the co-conspirator press corps who would gladly harbor these code pinkos.
Someone suggested if only an audience member would deftly stick a foot out and trip her on the way toward the stage...

How long before this turns really serious? These people are already mentally on the edge...how long before one of their putrid number takes this to the next logical step in the psychopolitico playbook?
Is there a way to get this to the Secret Service's, FBI’s, Justice Dept's attention?
What is going on here is nothing less than thuggish political intimidation and scare tactics.
How can we, as an on line community, make our presence known on this?
