Doesn’t Red Rice Yeast have the same side effects on the liver as statins do? If not, I’ll start taking it!

Not according to my physician.

In fairness, he said he's never encountered a problem with those using the drugs, but if my liver is going to be punished, I'm gonna at least have fun doing it...

I don't think it has the same effects as statins. But if you take statins coq10 should counteract any liver problems. About 600 mg per day should;d do it.

Nope, it has the same effect on cholesterol but not the same side effects. Google it and see what you come up with.
