I feel the same. Just read this on the Yahoo link in an earlier post.

” “I don’t have any beliefs or allegiances. I don’t believe in this country, I don’t believe in religion, or a god, and I don’t believe in all these man-made institutional ideas,” he told Reuters in a 2001 interview.

Carlin told Playboy in 2005 that he looked forward to an afterlife where he could watch the decline of civilization on a “heavenly CNN.”

I won’t miss the guy one bit. How’s that “afterlife” George?

Me too. Thank you. While not on the level of some vile characters in today’s society, I felt Carlin was a bitter, old liberal man who never learned a damn thing through life.

I remember an interview about two years ago where he said in so many works that he did not believe in anything.

He had not voted since 1972.

He did not give a hoot about this country.

The only thing he cared about was that there was enough people who would spend time and money to attend his concerts and purchase his videos and other products. " As long as I get paid for my stuff"

That was what he cared about.

I remember feeling after that interview " what a selfish slug is George Carlin"

RIP is somewhat anticlimactic for me. As entertaining at times as he was, he died a long time ago in my estimation.
