I think that if you were successful in getting Buchanan off the pages of the press as you suggest, then our arguments about the Leftists trying to silence people with whom they disagree will become a little more difficult to defend. He can write anything he wants. But it's a free market. Is there anything wrong with telling a publication you don't like one of their columnists? I'm not saying he should be silenced. I'm saying that conservative publications should not give him a platform. Let him go find a left wing site to publish his garbage.

I have no problem with writing letters of disagreement to the papers, and if they get enough they might start thinking about getting rid of the offending material. No problem there, knock yourself out. I've done it a few times myself, and it's refreshing.
But, if a coordinated effort is made, and succeeds in bumping somebody off, then how are we better than the Islamists who had that guy thrown off WMAL?
I'm not concerned that morons might read Buchanan and believe I think that way. They already believe that anyway.

You're funny, Huck.
First you say he has a right to say what he wants [correct], then "it's a free market" - i.e., private publications can run his stuff if they so choose [correct again] ... BUT THEN you try to get others to join you on your little intimidation crusade to try any blacklist Pat from being published .... yikes.
Censorship is not a good idea .... but if you like it so much, perhaps you'd be more at home living in Russia or Communist China?
