I'm shocked. You mean another, anti-American, leftist, rabid enviornmental organization is endorsing Obama?

Shocked I say. [/sarcasm]

Has the Communist Party-USA (CP-USA) endorsed Obama yet, or is that already implied?

"We believe Senator Obama is the change our nation needs -- he is the leader who will put America on the path to a clean energy economy that creates and keeps millions of jobs, spurs innovation and opportunity, and makes us a more secure nation,"

There is no clean energy economy available at the moment. It would be a disaster to attempted it. Perhaps this is what needs to happen, to drive home the point. If so, it will be a very painful attempt. Pray that the electorate chooses wisely.

“Tomorrow, Pope will speak at an event in Cleveland, Ohio with Leo Gerard, International President of the United Steelworkers, and formally endorse Obama.”

I wonder how the Steelworkers rank-and-file members feel about all of the car and truck plants closing around North America? What will they do when the layoffs hit the steel mills? How will they react to seeing their union president sharing a soapbox with activists that are causing these shutdowns?

They will use a giant wind turbine as a backdrop to their announcement, in an effort to underscore the two groups' commitment to renewable energy.

The announcement was not a surprise: the group's executive director, Carl Pope, had hammered the presumptive GOP nominee, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) whoever it may be ....

There, fixed it

Those fools have been yammering about “alternative energy” for nearly forty years. Where the heck is it? If it’s so wonderful, why isn’t it powering my car right this minute?

Sierra Club waffled on supporting zero population growth, but Obamasama provides a way around the politics of that issue ~ he favors scragging babies AFTER they are born.

The ghouls at SC and Obamasama definitely go together.

Greens Thwart Gasoline Production

"... The Sierra Club and the Natural Resources Defense Council, or NRDC, successfully pressured the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to block ConocoPhillips’ expansion of its Roxana, Ill., gasoline refinery, which processes heavy crude oil from Canada, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.

The project would have expanded the volume of Canadian crude processed from 60,000 barrels per day to more than 500,000 barrels a day by 2015. After the Illinois EPA had approved the expansion, the green groups petitioned the federal EPA to block it, alleging ConocoPhillips wasn’t using the best available technology for reducing emissions of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.

Apparently, the plant’s planned 95 percent reduction in sulfur dioxide emissions and 25 percent reduction in nitrogen oxides wasn’t green enough..."

All kidding aside, we/I as a right wing conservative/libertarian should be very jealous.

It really would be great to have a candidate who was ideologically pure representing conservatives.

They have their extreme leftist, we have McWannabe.

The Sierra Club is a shill for the democrat party .

The Sierra Club does not support their own members when they run for political office.

Uncle Ted Kennedy and his nephew Bobby Jr. both support Barack Hussein Obama. Both also oppose the "Cape Wind" offshore wind farm that might spoil their Nantucket mansion vistas.

When will someone ask BHO this question??

Sierra Club. Which prefers our oil come from unregulated pollution of Venezuela's filthy Lake Maracaibo, Africa's Niger Delta, the Mexican coast line, the Siberian tundra, and the inreasingly polluted Persian Gulf.

NOT exactly GLOBAL THINKERS.
