I used to have my daughters dates show me their drivers license and told them I knew where to find them if something happened to her. My girls were always mortified when I did that. Their having a big brother helped too. lol

scary letting kids grow up, wonderful but scary

Amen.

You don’t have to buy anything I’m saying. I’m just a FReeper with a Hawaii birth certificate right smack in front of me who is sharing information. Some may welcome that, and others may not.

Just because your certificate is correct does not lend credence to the document that was released through sources other than the BHO campaign.

The point is, as I have said over and over: This is what a Hawaii birth certificate abstract looks like. The Hawaii State Department of Health would agree, and if you don’t believe me, then contact them. Travelling a road to prove this isn’t what it should look like will go nowhere. Having said that, the authenticity can be challenged in other ways (as I also have already said). Was it Photoshopped? Did he procure this illegally? That is to be determined, but as God as my witness, this is what the document should look like. That is all I am saying. If that is hard to digest I don’t know what to say.

I don’t care to prove this as a forgery... as a voter I would like to see the BHO campaign officially release his BC for all to see.

Just as an addendum...
We ask candidates to release their tax returns, health records... why not release the BC?

I don’t know why he hasn’t just ponied it up?

Agreed, the method of release certainly raises suspicions. There still might be something to this, and I hope there is. I’m hitting the hay. Have a good night. :^)

What is with all the OBAMA bashing on FR? Disagree with Obama on the issues, but the personal attacks I have heard does not reflect well on us.. IMHO

Hey, at least it keeps the kids off the streets -- and distracted from their usual favorite pastime, specious personal attacks on Republicans.

Obama couldn’t have registered within 30 days of his 18th birthday. Draft registration was halted in 1975 and resumed in 1980. After July 1980, failing to register is only a criminal offense if it’s done knowingly and willfully, a high enough hurdle that only a couple dozen prosecutions have ever been undertaken.

This is another pointless distraction.

I am reading TIME magazine April 21,2008. On page 37-38 it says; "After she finished high school, her father whisked the family away again- this time to Honolulu, after he heard about a big new furniture store there. Hawaii had just become a state, and it was the new frontier. Stanley (Obama's mother) grudgingly went along yet again, enrolling in the University of Hawaii as a freshman.

So she would have had residence in Honolulu.

Not necessarily. A lot of college students retain their legal residence back home -- that's where they are registered to vote, where they register and insure their cars, and where they pay some taxes. Of course, since Stanley's parents had also moved to Hawaii, I don't know off-hand where else her "permanent address" would have been.

Hate to break it to you, but from a cursory glance at your photoshopped one I notice a big difference in the color of the font. The original lettering has a purple haze around it, and the text you put in clearly doesn’t.

Now, I’m not saying either way on the certificate they have up at DailyKos. Just that I could easily tell the difference between the fonts and colors.

I did get a good chuckle from your version though. So, thanks for that.

Oh, and as far as someone else with a copy of a Hawaii birth certificate posting theirs for a comparison - seeing as these copies are now printed by computers, it would make a difference as to the printers used to print the various copies. Can’t really take color variations into account in regards to determining whether it is valid or not.

Seeing as the Obama campaign refused to release a copy of his Birth Certificate one does wonder how Daily Kos got their hands on one. I think that is the question of the day, IMHO.

I would tend to agree with some who have posted that this issue may be taking up a fair bit of activists time that could be better spent researching and speaking out on the many, many other aspects of Obama’s character, issues, associates etc... It’s not like there isn’t a wealth of dirt on this man to dig up. I’m guessing there are probably quite a few skeletons in his closet that have yet to be exposed.

Dominique Dunne (sister of actor Griffin Dunne and daughter of writer Dominick Dunne) was murdered by her ex-boyfriend in 1982, at age 22. The killer, John Thomas Sweeney, served 2 1/2 years.

For years, Dominick Dunne retained a private investigator to track Sweeny’s post-relase activities. He gave it up, realizing that it didn’t do anyone any good. Dunne hasn’t said, but I strongly suspect, that his daughter’s murder led him to take up true crime writing. His fictionalized account of Martha Moxley’s murder, followed by Mark Fuhrman’s investigation, led to the re-opening of the case and put Michael Skakel in prison for 20 to life.

But I digress.

Heather O’Rourke, who played the youngest daughter, died at age 12 of cardiac arrest brought on by complications from Crohn’s Disease.

Is there no one on FR, or in the blogosphere, who was born in Hawaii? All that is needed is for one person to request a birth certificate and compare.

Yeah, I know. Looking for and waiting for facts? What kind of crazy talk is that?

I would expect the scanned text to look more fuzzy at the edges do to the ink sinking into the paper.

Toner doesn't sink in.

From wiki: “...Sir John (Jack) Robinson, the Constable of the Tower of London, held at the same time a judiciary appointment in the nearby City of London, and could and did condemn a felon in the City, then have him transported to the Tower where he commanded the execution, the whole process being done ‘faster than you can say Jack Robinson’.”
But that’s really marginal! :)
