I'm Irate
June 12, 2008 | Me

Posted on 06/12/2008 7:46:35 PM PDT by Dan Nunn

I'm irate. I've heard enough on drilling, windfall profits taxes, fairness doctrines, Bush tax cuts, CEO pay regulation, universal health care, global warming, cap and trade, Iraq, Iran, Guantanamo I could scream. Everywhere I look, it's getting worse and worse. The libs are getting closer and closer to outright Stalinism and somehow, they've found a candidate who represents their disgusting, shallow-minded views.

Number one, I'm sick of compromising. Every time I hear that word, I want to barf. Compromise is a one-way street in Washington. Bush lets Kennedy write the No Child Left Behind bill. Bush lets Kennedy write the Amnesty bill of 2007. McCain preaches 'bipartisanship' meaning he will assist Democrats in passing bills. When do the libtards ever compromise?

Number two, if I hear global warming tied to one more disaster, of which we've had since the dawn of time, I'm going to scream. How dumb are people? I am utterly disgusted at all of the 'green' bullshit going on like it's going to make a lick of difference. Seriously, folks. Leaving your 100w incandescent light on for 4 hours doesn't do jack crap. Combine all of the cars on the planet and compare their pollution to ONE, just ONE wildfire in Florida or California. I AM SO SICK of people telling me how to live my life!!

Number three, universal health care. How many examples of government-run divisions do you need before you come to your senses? The DMV is the obvious example. The NHS (National Health Service) in Great Britain is the world's third largest employer! Imagine how bad an American universal health care system would bankrupt us. Also, isn't this precisely the function of our Federalist government? Massachusetts tried something close to it under Mitt Romney. It's a failure. But you know what? GREAT! This is the way it should be. States, try it all you want. That's why we as a nation are comprised of 50 experiments in government. If you don't like the way things are run, move to another state. Hell, I'm itching to move residency out of New York (but maintain a place in WNY - beautiful area).

Number four - oil! This topic alone proves that we need to revisit our education system and how it teaches fundimental segments of our society, namely economics. That the libtards resort to demonizing oil companies because they are making a profit - with margins around 10%, even, is the essence of class warfare (and hence, the beginnings of Marxism). If I hear one more time from one of my ignorant friends about price gouging or big oil companies, I swear to God I'll make them scared to call me for at least a week. Exxon makes about 8 cents per gallon of gas sold! The government makes over 60 cents in some cases - and what part of drilling, extracting, transporting, refining, re-transporting, and holding in inventory are they in? NOTHING! And windfall profits or CEO pay caps? When did this country turn into Soviet Russia? Since when is it bad to make a profit? These are publicly traded companies, creating wealth for their shareholders, their employees, and the communities that support them.

Number five - fairness doctrine. This one irks me more than nothing else. Such a blatant restriction of our constitutional right to free speech it is completely out of my realm of comprehension. The libs will stop at nothing to squelch the voices of opposition so that they can push forward their agenda included in every other point I've made today.

Number six - tax cuts. It's been proven time and again that cutting taxes spurs growth and increases Government revenues. Why is this so hard for idiot libtards to understand? Because they use taxes as a method of control, as we see in New York with cigarette prices and other assorted libtards with gasoline taxes. The constant demonization of the rich is incredibly insulting - I'm not rich yet, but I think like a rich person. Why? Because one day I aspire to be rich and persue the American dream. When did the American dream stop being a dream, and start being a feeling of envy, jealousy, and disgust? Not to mention the economics of it all - the rich are the ones who invest, start businesses, employ people, and support communities. I've heard the question elsewhere but I'll repeat it here - when's the last time a poor person signed your paycheck?

And McCain. I vote on principle most of the time. But this is too important. Abraham Lincoln once said that the Constitution is not a suicide pact. I believe this election is not, either. It'd be great to tell the Republicans that McCain really, really sucks and that we need a real conservative. But the costs are way too high. Barack Obama, if elected, would only serve 4 or 8 years. But there are supreme court judges waiting for a Democrat to retire, the repercussions of which will last for decades. Also at stake are policies that have the lasting impact of bankrupting America similar to the policies of FDR - we're still trying to figure out how to fix Social Security so we don't go broke. What the hell do you think we'll be doing in 20 years worrying about Obama's Universal Health Care?

I'm in my early 20s. Is this what it felt like to be a disaffected conservative in the 1960s when it seemed like the whole country was ignorant of common sense and core American values and beliefs? Couldn't be... we at least had a President who honored, respected and loved this country - be it JFK, LBJ, or Nixon. Look who we have running on the Democratic ticket now.

Yup. Except it was worse. There was no Internet, no talk radio -- nothing but the NYT, the (come to find out) world government loving Utopian Socialist Walter Cronkite and his media colleagues.

It was pretty bleak.

Great words, Dan. I’m printing out your excellent rant to show my parents (in their mid ‘70’s) to give them hope that all is not lost in the upcoming generation.

We’re raising our 11-year-old son to see the idiocy that is Marxism. He reads at an 11th grade level and perhaps one of his birthday gifts will be a copy of “Atlas Shrugged.”

I look forward to more of your vanities. You are a gifted and eloquent writer.

I hear ya.

Republicans should have hung this around the Democrats neck by now.

We never pressure those bastards and make them cave in.We should be screaming every damn day. Has anybody seen Republican leadership?

Un- friken- believable.

For a young person in their 20’s - you have been very well educated.

Congratulations - you give us hope. Oh, and I agree 100%.

It is so amazing to me that people will latch on to any sound byte - Bush and his oil buddies, Cheney and Bush are in it for the oil, etc. and will die with those beliefs. Yet, facts and truth will never be accepted. Only the rumor mongering tidbit is held on to for life.

Absolutely astounding and they treasure their bit of information that is based on nothing but “feelings”.

Well - you are sure throwing your vote down the sewer if you allow one more count for Obama. Use your God-given intelligence to think through your options. Remember - democrats operate on “feelings” - we operate with our minds and facts.

And courage - courage to do that which is distasteful if it helps prevent the destruction of our country.

Remember what the soldiers fought for - please do your part and fight with them.

You know full well what it is time for - to do all in our power to prevent liberal supreme court judges, to prevent a Marxist getting the leadership of the greatest nation on earth - so that our grandchildren have the privilege of living in the same America we did.

Anything else is pure ignorance, pure spitefulness, pure selfishness. None will be congratulating you on your selfishness if you chose to throw the country away.

I don’t respect those that will give one more vote to Obama.

I think they are selling us down the river of no conservative radio proponents, changes in the constitution to do away with the electoral system, more rulings like the one today on Guantanamo, liberal supreme court judges, more taxes, less freedom, gun control, rule changes in congress, elections and every other facet of life to control power, sap the funds of the populace and prevent any future loss of power.

Some people might need to grow up and realize votes do count and outcomes have to be reviewed. We don’t have the luxury of throwing away more conservative opportunities.

We need soldiers - not spoiled brats taking their ball home and teaching their team mates a lesson.

I do not think they are in the least self-destructing - they are winning and running off conservatives.

The country is getting more and more voters that want as many entitlements as they can get. They won’t say so, but this is the give-me generation.

And, when that happens, they do not want conservatives stopping the treasury from being their checkbook.

They also want to revel in their own ignorance and look to the government to take care of them so they have no responsibility to deny themselves even one luxury as they live their stupid lives.

And the ones teaching the GOP a lesson are playing into the plans of the moderates and giving our only party with any ability to counter the democrats to those who are democrat-lite.

That is what happens when you go up against a team intent on winning and a team with no ability to work as a team. Too many yellow-livered turncoats running.

I'm irate

Well, so am I. I'm also bitter.. and clinging to my guns.

Hey Claire, is it time yet? Or will it be time soon? I'm already too old, and not getting any younger.

Come back and talk to us in two or four years after McCain has had time to work his magic. IMO, there are going to be a lot of folks who thought McCain was going to save their ass, who will be furious by then.

It will be like a war re-enactment but with real tear gas and bullets.

I would much prefer this baby.

Future Weapons Video here It's the Active Denial System. Makes 'em feel like they are on fire.

""The pain is comparable to an intensified version of opening an oven and feeling the initial blast of hot air," said Staff Sgt. Jason Delacruz, an ADS operator who has also been exposed on several occasions for training purposes. "The effects are extremely sudden, and natural instincts automatically force you to quickly exit the target area."

Oh it's much easier than it sounds, lol.

I just simply ask them questions about any policy subject or Iraq, and President Bush, VP Cheney etc.

For example, Global Warming. Ask what temp would they like the earth to be? For how long? What about parts of the world who can now farm and could not before? Is that not good? How can one enforce mandates on the entire world?

Listen to their answer, and of course it will have no logic involved in the answer, so just keep asking, how? what? when? where?

As for Iraq and the Pres, ask, why would the Pres lie to go into Iraq? Wouldn't he know he'd be caught in the lie? Why didn't he plant WMD? Explain how his oil buddies would benefit? What was his motive? Would Blair, Rice, Rumsfeld, ect all lie too? For months and months? Why would Bush, Cheney, Rummy, Rice, Powell, all with decades in gov suddenly all go corrupt and sinister? Have any of them had histories of this behavior?

It's a process of elimination, eventually they will have no answer at all.

BTW, Rush uses it often, for example when asked about min wage by a caller, he always asks, why not $20 an hour?

And Obama was asked about his cap gains policy in a debate and he had to answer that, yes, it would result in less revenue to the gov, and was asked how is that a good thing, he was forced to admit it wasn't a good thing but punished and was “only fair”. It doomed him as sophomoric and unserious.
