History shows that the younger crowd lean towards the Liberal side..............until they graduate from college. Then they see how their world really is and go to the conservative side. Some never change and stay in lala land, expecting everyone to serve them.

McLame would guarantee a win if he would pick sowell as VP, but I know he is too clueless to even consider it.
Chuchill once said “if you are not a liberal when you are 20 you have no heart, if you are not a conservative at 40 you have no brain”

What I would like to see is someone with the guts to tell those students: Do you want to be of some use and service to your fellow human beings? Then let your fellow human beings tell you what they want -- not with words, but by putting their money where their mouth is. Thomas Sowell is a national treasure.

Those who have helped the poor the most have not been those who have gone around loudly expressing "compassion" for the poor, but those who found ways to make industry more productive and distribution more efficient, so that the poor of today can afford things that the affluent of yesterday could only dream about...Nobody says it better than Thomas Sowell.

I read a commencement address by PJ O'Rourke a while ago...I think it was here on FR. He basically said to go out and get stinking rich if you really want to contribute to society. :)

I mean, it's timeless and all that ...
What clued me was when he mentioned statistics from the beginning of the century, and he was talking about 1900.
