1. The process from beginning to end will take 3 to 6 months before returning ( most likely all, children to mothers.
2. Civil settlements? Doubtful. There is public outcry against lifestyle. But they will have to figure out what to do with placement, so most likely they will return and remain on the compound.
3.As long as CPS is operating in accordance to guidelines set by state of Texas, criminal charges doubtful to hold. Criminal charges will happen against the leaders of the sect.
Same reason they did not prohibit gay marriage. It was inconceivable that it would ever be needed.

You ain’t too bright. Who said anything about outlawing mormons or muslims or the 1A? That’s right, straw man, no one did. But guess what, if you start a religion where you get to marry your brother, chances are pretty slim the feds or the state are going to recognize your happy union.
Think before you speak.
I won’t claim brightness for myself, but I know the First Amendment, as written, protects all faiths, even certain ones you’d like to see prohibited.
