WHOAAA ! ! ! . . . . . . . sorry about the delay in getting back to you but as you can imagine I’ve been a little swamped. Boy, if McCain’s wet start of his A-4 really did cook off the Zuni rocket that hit his fuel tank no wonder they had to helicopter evacuate him to another ship. Those guys on the Forrestal would have thrown him overboard and w wouldn’t be in the situation we are now : ). For those of you who didn’t see it consider this:

I have no idea if the linked story is true, but it mentions that McCain’s A-4 was carrying a 1000 pound bomb on a rack rated for 500 pounds. At the time, I worked for a company which manufactured Navy bomb racks, and I do recall that we apparently caught a lot of hell from certain Navy personnel who in some way seemed to believe our company was at least partly to blame for the accident. It’s been 40 years and I don’t recall many details, but believe me those racks had to go through very strict QC testing and I never heard of any other incident involving them. There is always plenty of blame to go around when something like this happens.
The A-4s were arrayed on the port side ot the flight deck, facing inward. There is no way this alleged "wet-start" would have affected the F-4s which were on the starboard side of the deck

Stop getting your talking points from moonbat sites.
I found the information interesting until I got down to the bottom and they started blaming everything on the Zionists.
Sheesh!
I wish there were a way to confirm these claims. (not the Zionist part)
