"Spaketh Mr. Religious Tolerance who also got the politics wrong. "All religions are NOT created equal. Romney has a right to believe whatever he wants. And I have a right not to vote for him if I think his choice of beliefs is a bad influence on the nation.

We don't live under a theocratic system. Since when does being a conservative Republican mandate religious uniformity?
To me religious belief is important only insofar as it informs political ideals. I would vote for a non-Christian if I felt that he was a decent person who respected the rule of law and the freedom of religious belief and would work hard to protect them. I feel confident that is the case with Mr. Romney.

And how exactly would Mr. Romney's religious views--not political views--be a "bad influence on the nation"?

All religions are NOT created equal. Romney has a right to believe whatever he wants. And I have a right not to vote for him if I think his choice of beliefs is a bad influence on the nation. And how did JFK's religion affect ANYTHING he did as president? I don't agree with all he did but NONE of those disagreements have anything to do with his Catholicism. But of course, you want to punish Romney because you think your beliefs are better than his even those his beliefs will have NO effect on policy.
