I didn’t know about that one. The first time I remember Geraldo was the special on “The Mystery of Al Capone’s Vault.” Wow—that was a winner! LOL.
I didn’t mean to send it to the Geraldo types. But maybe a SacBee or SDU-T that might do some investigative journalism. Occasionally, they rise to the occasion.
I think the places Lauren describes are not the norm, although I did read about some of those horror stories. I actually went to the State offices and viewed the complaint/investigation files on a couple of these places. There are many good places operating in California. If there are instances as she describes, it just stains the whole lot. Exposing them and getting them cleaned up should be a good thing.
That’s how Geraldo became famous..it was the State Mental Hospital in New Jersey. He did an expose and became the “it” boy. I know, he came to speak at my high school about it. All the girls (including myself) were swooning..AT THE TIME!!
