With 62% of the precincts counted, Hussein’s lead has steadily dwindled.

There is no way I would compare Pres. Bush to Jimmy Carter. We’ll have to agree to disagree on that.

No, I think a lot of Freepers pretty much hate McCain because of who he is. Let’s face it, he couldn’t beat the “most incompetent executive since James Earl Carter” when he had the chance in 2000 so he’s more than capable of losing this presidential election on his own.

Right...and I still can't explain how he lost to a DUI-convicted and coke-snorting rumored "Texan" from Maine, who no one can remember ever showing up for this last two obligated years of Air Guard service while he was in Alabama campaigning for a buddy politician, except for the fact that McCain was somehow tied in the critical S.C. primary to being the father of an illegitimate "black child" (who was actually adopted from an Indian orphanage). And I suppose McCain is never going to understand that "gentlemen" aren't allowed in politics.

Just like her filly did?

For those who don't follow horse racing or the paranormal, it is pretty funny that the white mare finished second to the winner named "Big Brown" and had to be shot on the spot.

Lost in the story is that a filly almost won.

It’s not over yet. Not by a longshot.

Never underestimate the power of an angry determined smart woman to beat the living crap out of anything that gets in her way. Hillary did not put up with the humiliation of Bill using an interns private parts as a humidor for his cigar to fail in her own Presidential bid.

I wouldn’t get in her way. If you want to live.

Imus, is that you?

You can knock the President all you want...but McCain couldn’t beat him. Senator McCain and his supporters need to just grow up, accept that loss, and move on. Johnny gets his chance now.

It is not McCain that the electorate really loathes; rather it is the assclown currently occupying the White House--the most incompetent chief executive since James Earl Carter!

What makes him an ass clown? The fact that he is a Christian? Maybe it is impeccable personal conduct while in the White House? I guess it could be his loyalty to his subordinates or his constant fight to stop the erosion of presidential power? Then again, it could be his fight to make sure our children are literate.

I don't even get the incompetent part. What has tipped you off? The record employment, the record home ownership even with the credit crunch, the real rise in income, the lower taxes, the expanding economy? Maybe the continued fall of violent crime? How about wars that have freed 10's of millions of people that were nothing more than human bombs aimed at us....with a cost of less than a thousand troops a year and less than 5% of our budget. Maybe you believe that we haven't been attacked since 9/11 because of luck.

Literally, a statement like yours belongs on a Democrat website.

There is no way I would compare Pres. Bush to Jimmy Carter. We’ll have to agree to disagree on that.

Carter: Gas lines
Bush: Gas prices.

Carter: No one can afford home
Bush: No one can afford mortgage.

Carter: 20% interest.
Bush: 20% inflation.

Carter: Botched Iran hostage rescue.
Bush: Iraq looting and terrorist resurgence

Carter: Ayatollah Komeini goes unpunished.
Bush: Osama Bin Laden goes unpunished.

Carter: "I've achieved lasting Middle East peace!
Bush: "Mission Accomplished!"

I thought this thread was about Obama and how brilliant he is. Not GW. He is not running for office.

Jimmy Carter is a Christian...and an assclown too.

Maybe it is impeccable personal conduct while in the White House? I guess it could be his loyalty to his subordinates or his constant fight to stop the erosion of presidential power? Jimmy Carter exhibited impeccable personal conduct too--except he never got arrested for DUI, and just check out his history of loyalty to crooks such as Bert Lance.

Then again, it could be his fight to make sure our children are literate.

No Child Left Behind has been a total failure.

I don't even get the incompetent part. What has tipped you off? The record employment, the record home ownership even with the credit crunch, the real rise in income, the lower taxes, the expanding economy?

What planet are you living on...people are losing their homes due to foreclosures...banks are posting record losses; credit card companies are comtemplating collosal interest increases.

Maybe the continued fall of violent crime?
LOL...ever hear of Virginia Tech? How about wars that have freed 10's of millions of people that were nothing more than human bombs aimed at us....with a cost of less than a thousand troops a year and less than 5% of our budget.

Lots of IEDs still out there...

Maybe you believe that we haven't been attacked since 9/11 because of luck.
Okay, I give old George that one..but believe even a Dem could have done as much.

See, you're one of the ones I've talked about. Willing to drool over McCain and support him to the point of LYING about his conservative credentials.

Well, at least he'd have gotten a decent SECDEF to do the job in Iraq that should have been done in the first place and, just perhaps, he would have been riding the crest of a 75 percent approval rating with gas prices level because of a stable Middle East instead of the current clown in the White House who will probably leave office with < 20 percent approval.
