It’s not out yet but I’ve already been offered and have accepted. The case is closed.
Keyes would be a riot. Hire him on and let Obama claim racism.
If you’ll recall, Keyes was brought in at the last moment to fill in for primary winner Jack Ryan, who left the race in June 2004 amid controversy over sexually embarrassing allegations made by his ex-wife in divorce papers. Keyes had less than three months to wage his campaign against Obama. In light of those circumstances, not to mention the notoriously corrupt nature of Chicago politics, I think 27% was pretty good.
Thank you for a most graceful illustration of my point.
Perhaps we need to Fight in the shade
that’s looney. We all know that Kitty Harris is on the short list/bus. Kitty rides horseys. See Kitty rided. Ride Kitty ride. Anyone have horsey pictures?
LOL! Sure he is.
Or perhaps we’re just sane.
You know what damages Portman in the McVainiacs’ eyes? He’s the one who told them to hvae Bill Cunningham open their rally in cincinnati.
In what way? Unless you consider principled, constitutional conservatism “crackpot”. Unfortunatel,y some FReepers do. (It makes Republibots uncomfortable.)
Dr. Ron Paul, who is a great Congressman and whom I very much admire, sounds like a crackpot to today's conservatives because he has some very odd ideas on foreign policy and seems to be at least open to teh so-called "9/11 Truthers." He has a lot of conspiratorialist views.
Dr. Keyes hs none of that, jsut a principeld dedication to limited government, th Constitution, and the principles of the Declaration of Independence. Views like that are no longer welcome in the GOP, nor apparently in certain parts of the conservative movement.
In other words, he has principles and is willing to stand for them. o wonder he no longer felt comfortable in the Republican Party. Principels don't seem to be welcome there anymore.
My guess is that they're the ones who have an interest inplanting it. Keyes and his folks certainy don't. But McCain needs somethign to keep conservaives in the GOP's circus tent (as I said before, as a sideshow.) Planting a rumor like this and letting it sit out there for a while is th esort of thing I could see out-of-touch country-club RINOs thinking would do the job.
Since McCain is an out-of-touch country-club RINO surrounded by out-of-touch country club RINOs, this is exactly what he and his people would do.
Steve Largent?
I don't know.
I often wonder why men, like Alan Keyes continue to believe in America -- when America no longer seems to believe in herself.
I think we all know, at a certain level, that God has blessed America.
And therefore, we have a sacred trust, a responsibility, a duty, to preserve America -- as best we can.
We believe Alan Keyes, as President, would do his best to restore that spirit of America that God so infused -- as a blessing.
Thus we do our best to place Alan Keyes in the White House -- as President of The United States of America.
We know the rest is up to God.
God bless America!
