Screw the rules of engagement. Let's go after the sadr dogs. If we cannot, then I suggest we withdraw from Iraq right now.

Enough with politics!

Drag his fat behind into the street and give him an old fashioned public fanny whipping.

Cleric Sadr threatens "open war" on Iraq government

I'm trying to see why this might be bad news...I really am...

For a while no threads on this, then a bunch. The war will be short if it starts at all. Maybe Iran will come in overtly. That might be a plus, but not for Japan or China.

> "Do you want a third uprising?" Sadr said, adding that he wanted Iraq's Shi'ite clerical establishment to set a date for the departure of American troops.

Well, it's a closed question: yes or no. I'm going to guess that the Iraqi government is going to pick "yes".

He's got a distinctly hangable look on his face: he'd probably look great as a lamp-post decoration.

What, he didn't engage in an ‘open war’ before?

If they conduct “Open war”, and he directs it from Iran...then a JDAM, that’s “Just Damn” for the Jihadist leadeers, should have his name written all over it and land on his head in iran soonest.

Declaration from Mookie Halitosis:

“Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr on Saturday threatened an “open war” against the Iraqi government unless it halted a crackdown by Iraqi and U.S. security forces on his followers.”

You got it Mookie. The first bullet has your name on it. This pig needs to be greased post haste. Should have been done Years ago.

Open war? Fat chance. They will scurry like the rodents they are. But go ahead, grab some uniforms, make your formations and see what happens. My money is on the US Marines. They may only need to watch as they send the Iraqies to do their light work.

Machts Nichts. The GoI never accepted his ceasefire or demands in March and has continued to engage. He is threatening war when it is already in progress for almost a month now...

"Moqtada al-Sadr on Saturday threatened an "open war"..."

The threat itself is declaration.
