Troop Surge in Congress? (FINALLY!) http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2002803/posts?page=51
But noticably missing on that thread are those I see here often, those "self-styled" conservatives with nothing good to say and nothing good to do about anything. Those who think they can advance a conservative agenda by sitting on their hands and allowing Clinton-Obama to become Commander-in-Chief... just to "get even" with McCain and RINOs running the RNC.
Today, I post the latest from JB Williams, which appropriately lays it on the line. If conservatives fail to unite behind these patriots seeking conservative change in congress, then they prove themselves nothing more than impotent blowhards...
If conservatives fail to unite behind this effort, then they deserve whatever they get this fall!
GREAT FR support here...

But, where are the typical “we already lost” FR conservatives?
Just be sure you are not supporting another “John Kerry” vet.
I certainly agree that if we can’t do anything else, we can support solid candidates for congress in the coming election.
I’ve donated what I can to several strong candidates in other states, since there’s really no one running in Vermont who is worth supporting.
More than ever, it is foolish to give a dime to the RNC. Send it where it may do some good. Chris Smith, for instance, or Michelle Bachman. I don’t mean those two in particular, but people like them who are solid and who have at least some chance of winning.
I firmly believe that with McCain’s victory this November, we will also re claim the Senate and House on his coat tails.

Bushbots are no better in many cases. When the Walter Reed scandal came about, instead of actually caring that the wounded received decent care, they shreiked about how it was affecting Bush’s poll numbers. Bluntly their interest in the troops extended only so far as it enhanced Bush’s standings.
