Smoking one extra-long, menthol cigarette after another, James Willie Myart Jr. stood frying a mound of bacon in his lavishly appointed East Side kitchen.
It was 4 a.m., and the civil rights attorney had been firing off antagonistic e-mails to city and county officials since midnight, making accusations of racism and corruption in between allusions to George Orwell and Alexis de Tocqueville.
