I don’t agree with your assessment that a weak dollar is good for our trade deficit. It is very bad for our trade deficit. We are a net importer of goods. The additional profits a weak dollar is producing from selling US goods overseas is MORE than offset by an increase in the cost of everything we import. Why do you think oil just hit $112 a barrel. This is a good example of a costly foreign product that is exacerbating the US trade deficit due to a weaker dollar. Sadly, you are dead wrong.

$112 per barrel oil might just save us from the "climate change" hucksters.

I would much rather have a market solution than a global bureaucratic solution to the perception that we consume too much foreign oil.

High gas prices are already causing people to ditch their gas-guzzlers for cars that get better mileage. Just take a look at your local craigslist car listings. There are some great deals on SUVs right now, and it's because of rising gas prices.

This will decrease our demand for gas, and possibly block the United Nations from getting their global AGW tax that they want so badly.

Once the United Nations has global taxing authority, US sovereignty's days are numbered.

BINGO...and oil is one big ticket item. From freight costs, plastics costs, agricultural fuel, fertilizer, cost of going to and from work, electric power generating costs, etc., etc.

Yeah, right.

A weak dollar is good for our country that has now run a global trade deficit for how long???
