Actually, his explanation makes perfect sense to me. I support what he did. That's probably the first dressing-down most of those men have received in their lives.
I’m with you. So what he sent the whites or whomever out...he was trying to make a point to the defendants, some of which have probably never had any male authority figure talk to them like that. I hope he made an impression on one or more of them.
If he got through to one of them, then I think he did the right thing. However, I doubt that he made a dent.
Or did he says "white lawyers out, black lawyers can stay" (not OK)?
What is a JaQuitta?
I agree. Bill Cosby has tried to preach the message, but he's ignored because his message doesn't carry the "I'm-a-victim-of-white-racism" that Jesse, Al, Jerry and all the rest spout. Blacks need to get off the "victim" mentality and start fixing their problems themselves. Jesse and Al's approach of throwing my money at their problems doesn't work because they don't want it to work...they'd be out of business if it did.
As to the poison Jerry spits each Sunday, he reinforces the victim mentality by blaming whites for all black problems. Sorry, Jerry, your dog $hit in your house. You need to clean it up yourself.
Yeah, I don't see this as a bad thing either.
I support what he did too, because this was not part of the legal proceedings, but more of a fatherly lecture, and sometimes you gotta do unusual things to change lives. It’s too bad someone didn’t have this talk with them before they appeared in orange suits. I hope the judge did some good. I hope he told them that this is the only time I’m going out of my way to get through to you, because I care that you don’t make this a habit. Now go and get yourselves right. If not for yourselves, do it for your Mothers. If I ever, ever see you gentlemen here before me again, you can talk to the hand.
“I support what he did. That’s probably the first dressing-down most of those men have received in their lives.”
How do you know he gave them a dressing-down?
