Symantec is the worst! I highly recommend that anyone using Symantec find another product. ASAP

Cosign. The early days of Norton produced some good apps but Symantec has been creating bloated resource hogging BSOD-making monsters for years now, especially with their growing octopus of anti-virus suites with their tentacles of Anti-EveryOtherThingWeCanThinkOfToGetYouToBuyAnotherOneOfOurProducts. Friends don't let friends buy Symantec.

I had Norton AntivirusEtc. on my WinXP machine. Hated it. When we switched from our dialup to ATT superfast internet, there was another antivirus that came with it. I went for it, and was very satisfied UNTIL......stupid, bloody ATT switched over to NORTON, and as part of an upgrade, we ended up with the latest version of Norton AntivirusInternetFirewallEtc. on our machine.

Before, we had what I liked to call "the guy who sits by the door and bashes bad guys on the head with a club." Our little antivirus guy did just that. Didn't bother us in our programs, wasn't a resource hog. Norton, otoh, is like a 300 lb. guy who sits at the table next to you and wants to know what you're doing ALL THE SMEGGING TIME! Updates, sneaking out onto the web to get new virus lists, all that stuff, is very annoying. Norton is a resource hotg, and I hope someone from Norton is reading this, because your product is junk.
