“It’s not possible to discuss any of the campus security issues with you.”

Likewise with you. Last time I looked, you were still struggling with the concept of the doors being chained shut. Or the fact that every entity that has looked at this says the VT police department did as good a job as humanly possible once they arrived at Norris Hall.

If you’re referring to carrying guns on campus, I realize that IF somebody had had a weapon, the death toll might have been lower. But nobody did have a weapon and it’s obvious that the law on that isn’t going to change. That’s hardly the basis for a lawsuit or for firing everybody in sight.

Another thread on this subject is running the thesis that AFTER the cops arrived 31 of the victims were shot.

Got data on that?

We could, of course, argue the gun issue all day long ~ fact is, one madman had several guns and his victims had none. No doubt there were some brave cops who'd gone ahead into the line of fire if they could have gotten into Norris Hall.

Right there is where things were done, or not done, in the past, by those responsible for the university's security, and that's why a law suit will be very successful.
