Skip to comments.Does Hillary attend her committee meetings? (Bill Clinton lying for his wife's benefit)

Thats the question John McCain must be asking himself after hearing a strange assertion from Bill Clinton about Hillary Clintons qualifications. Bragging that the girl has more former military commanders endorsing her than anyone else, Bill said that her unique experience among all of the candidates on the Senate Armed Services Committee made the difference. If so, the commanders must be as bad at research as Bill, because McCain has served on that committee since before Bill and Hillary ever came to Washington:
He continued to highlight the military issue later in Cary, accentuating his wifes gender to emphasize his point that more generals have endorsed Clinton than both Obama and Republican candidate John McCain.
You might wonder why thats so: Why did they endorse the girl for president? All these generals? Clinton said.
He said thats partially because shes the only member of the Armed Services Committee in the race and also because of her support for wounded veterans.
Er what? A quick check of the ASC committee page on the Senate website to prove Clinton wrong. At the top of the column of Republicans sits John McCain, ranking member on the Committee. According to Wikipedia, hes been there since 1987, or about four times as long as Hillary, who joined the committee in 2003.
Its going to be hard for Bill to claim that he wasnt aware of McCains presence on that committee. McCain served on the ASC every year Bill Clinton was President. Hillary supposedly attends the committee meetings, for that matter. If she never noticed that McCain sat at the same table she did, its fair to ask what else went over her head at the meetings.
Are the Clintons making this up as they go along? Were their lies always this threadbare, as with Hillarys claims of facing down deadly danger on her USO trip to Tuzla in 1996? The Democratic race appears to have descended into a contest to find the least-worst option, and both candidates are working hard to lose that contest.
Thanks for that....good show on the homework
Bill’s never been a bashful liar.
“Girl” Bill? Little Fruedian slip there, eh Bill? That’ll teach ya to not think about interns while talking about your wife.
Hillary was for and against drivers' licenses for immigrants in virtually the same sentence. Obama told the voters in Ohio he would substantially alter NAFTA which his campaign advisers were telling Canadian diplomats to ignore that partisan, campaign blather. .
These are the candidates of hope and change.
I HOPE they CHANGE and stop lying all the time!
There, I fixed it.
I’m not sure “our guy” is much better. I believe he’s going to rear end us on immigration, even though he says “he gets it”...
I hope your information makes its way to the main stream media or else who but the educated freepers will ever know!
Never going to be reported.
“Im not sure our guy is much better. I believe hes going to rear end us on immigration, even though he says he gets it...
Gee, give us a break. The article was about Bill Clinton claiming that Hillary’s “unique experience among all of the candidates on the Senate Armed Services Committee” made her uniquely qualified to be President.
Do you MDS (McCain Derangement Syndrome) victims have to bring up your complaints about McCain and immigration into every post? Please give us a break from your tantrums; it is getting sooooo tiresome.
I agree, unless McCain meets his maker, he is our guy in November, like it or not. I am of the opinion that we let the media select our candidate but that s over and done! We now have to use our influence to make McCain see that he needs to start being more conservative, that may not work either but I am voting Republican in November, like I always do.
Then there is this Bill Clinton lie, from another thread:
“In every respect, military readiness was greater when I left office than it is today,” Clinton said to hoots and rousing applause. “The Republicans gutted the military.
Ok, you are an idiot. Did you see the post that I was replying too?
Yes. Sure did. And your name calling does nothing to counter my point that the tirades against McCain’s immigation policy are getting tiresome.
This is free republic not alteregoland. The post I replied to mentioned lying. I believe McCain is probably doing that to us.
and you wouldn’t know a tirade if it came off of your own keyboard... and it did in your first post to me.
