Gays worse than terrorists, but hey, no offense intended!

An Oklahoma lawmaker has received an avalanche of criticism, reportedly including a few death threats, for calling homosexuality a greater threat to America than terrorism. Republican state legislator Sally Kern has apparently made the comment in more than one venue, and even now defends her statement while the condemnation rolls in from around the country. Kern has only mellowed it to insist that she meant no gay-bashing:

A YouTube audio clip of a state lawmaker’s screed against homosexuality, which she called a bigger threat than terrorism, has outraged gay activists and brought death threats rolling in.

“The homosexual agenda is destroying this nation, OK, it’s just a fact,” Rep. Sally Kern said recently to a gathering of fellow Republicans outside the Capitol.

“Studies show no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted, you know, more than a few decades. So it’s the death knell in this country.

“I honestly think it’s the biggest threat that our nation has, even more so than terrorism or Islam, which I think is a big threat,” she said. …

Kern said she has no regrets for her statements and denies she was gay-bashing. Her Christian faith teachers [sic] her to be loving to individuals, but not their lifestyle, she said.

Gays are a bigger threat than Islamist terrorists? Only if one feels less than confident about their own sexuality. In the real world, gays don’t threaten anyone with their choices. Kern, however, has paranoid notions of gay infiltration of city councils in an effort to drive America to ruin. Oh, the humanity!

But don’t let anyone say that Kern engages in gay-bashing! No, no, no, she hates the sin and loves the sinners. She just doesn’t love it when they conspire to undermine city councils and conduct indoctrination of children into their networks. She doesn’t love gays who sneak gay-themed books into childrens’ libraries, which prompted legislation sponsored by Kern, and which failed to pass in the Oklahoma legislature. But don’t say she bashes gays, for Pete’s sake!

Unfortunately, many take this far too seriously. Republicans at some point have to distance themselves from those whose paranoid impulses lead them to these extremes. In practical terms, they are no better than those who blame Halliburton for conspiring to push the nation to war, or those who believe that the CIA secretly masterminded the 9/11 attacks in order to bolster their budgets.

Worst of all, it takes our eyes off of those who really do want to destroy America — like Osama bin Laden, the Iranian Guardian Council, and other real enemies of our nation.

Well, if you consider it objectively...

Terrorists may suck, but gays *really* suck!

(rim shot) (poor choice of words, eh?)
Ba-dum-BUM!

One’s an internal enemy, the other’s an external enemy.

Best to work against both.

Matthew 10:28 - And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Which _IS_ worse? You decide.

I believe the politically correct parenthetical term to use is "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

As in..."Gays are worse than terrorists (not that there's anything wrong with that)."

While certainly not a politically correct thing to say in America these days one that many many American citizen believe.
The sad part of this is I thought we had a 1st Amendment concerning freedom of speech.
But alas it seems that it is okay these day to speak on spreading the homosexual agenda but to speak against it will cause you to be attacked and destroyed.
So much for the Constitution............

Our nation's MOST serious and important threat is MARXISM! Homosexuality is merely part of the Marxist plan.

I have often posted that islamofascism is NOT our nation's most serious threat. We can survive a nuclear suitcase bomb. Didn't we lose an entire city to a hurricane? Didn't we survive?

Government schools (especially K-12) are the Marxists most dangerous and effective weapon against freedom. Homosexuality is part of the Marxist indoctrination process whose goal is destruction of the family.

Kern is an idiot. “Gays,” also children of God, are no more and no less than a statistical anomaly that persist at the same rate in most cultures. Terrorists seem to me to be more prevalent, compared to other cultures, in the religion of peace. To paraphrase that great prophet and profiteer Jesse Jackson, the reverend, I would rather be followed in a dark alley by a gay person than a terrorist.

Only if one feels less than confident about their own sexuality.

Typical rhetoric right out of the Homosexual Agenda play book. Those who say the practice of perversion is wrong automatically has latent tendencies.

Take your BS Pro-Sodomy play book back to the DUmpster Ed, where someone cares.

What an idiotic article.

One’s an internal enemy, the other’s an external enemy.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Of the two the internal enemy is the more dangerous.

Marxism is our nation’s most serious threat. They are using homosexuality and armies of homosexual Useful Idiots to advance their plan.

Of course the homosexuals don’t realize that they will be the first people sent off to the gulags.

I think the idea is that the nation that turns against God will fall. Whether it be false gods or sexual immorality (of which homosexuality is one) that leads the nation astray it matters not with the outcome.

Log Cabin Republicans Call on Oklahoma Legislator Sally Kern to Resign (Go figure)

“Free speech doesn’t mean the right to compare law-abiding, tax-paying citizens to terrorists,” said (LCR spokes-dude) Sammon.

Actually it does: Whether we agree or not is a different matter.

Largely ignored in this uproar is Kerns' explanation that "her remarks were directed at wealthy, politically active homosexuals who are contributing money to gay and lesbian candidates for public office."

Since these candidates are largely associated with the pro-defeat left, they are at least complicit in empowering terrorists. Since (as Ahmedinejad has assured us) there are no homosexuals in Iran, one wonders if the gay community might not be as much of a threat to itself as to anyone else.

Maybe not worse than terrorist

- but worse than being overweight,

or smoking,

and eating at McDonalds,

and driving an SUV. And all together...

Being gay is a threat to good health -

but the MSM is oddly quiet...

Contact: State Rep. Sally Kern Capitol: (405) 557-7348 Oklahoma City: (405) 942-3504. OKLAHOMA CITY
sallykern@okhouse.gov

Help this Patriot to withstand the al_Queera assualt against her and America.
Here’s a fight we can WIN - give her a call or email a supportive message.
Its us against THEM - the evil ones.

OKRep Kern is a Patriot and MORE Republicans should follow her lead on this matter - albeit with a more accurate choice of terms to describe the threat posed by the Queerists and their allies.

That OKRep Kern did not choose more accurate tems to described the threat is NOT the point.
She did get the sentiment CORRECT and on target.
The Queerist/marxistLiberals/neoCommunist are actively undermining America and do pose the more immediate/local threat to our survival.
For now this is a correct stance but the situation could change at anytime depending on al Qaeda.

“QueerBashing” term is so PC/neoComm that it has no merit. That she was not more succinct in her identification of the enemy’s position in the CultureWar is the problem but I’m sure she is getting the verbiage to be more on target as this matter proceeds.
