I think Juan has been hanging out around republicans too long, bits and pieces are getting stuck on him. Wonder if he even realized it.

I've noticed that too. It seems to me as the Democrat party sags evermore leftward Juan has held his ground, making him now appear as a "centrist".

In the final analysis, politics is like a circle with the "lunatic fringe" of the left being closer to their counterparts on the right then they are to the actual center. That is certainly tactically true and might even be philosophically true as well.

Please note that I do not consider "conservatism" as a part of the political spectrum. In my eyes it is more of a recognition of the natural order of things in balance, as responsibility is balanced by freedom.

GtG

Exactly Obama knew. Or at least his preacher says so. This is nothing new to Obama.

LAWTON: Wright says he warned Obama at the beginning of his career that their relationship could have negative ramifications.

Rev. WRIGHT: They're going to associate your name with mine, and that could be detrimental, I told him back then. It holds just as true, even more so, now.

~

Mr. Wright, who has long prided himself on criticizing the establishment, said he knew that he may not play well in Mr. Obama’s audition for the ultimate establishment job.

“If Barack gets past the primary, he might have to publicly distance himself from me,” Mr. Wright said with a shrug. “I said it to Barack personally, and he said yeah, that might have to happen.”

Obama challenged Harridan’s contention by asserting that “like many of my fellow parishioners and, I dare say, many church-goers across America, I’ve slept through the vast majority of the sermons.

Having seen and heard the "Reverend" Wright's delivery style on several movie clips I find that hard to believe. It would be like sleeping next to a blender full of silverware running at top speed!

We need to capture them -

Does the church have a web page? Perhaps the good reverend is selling the DVDs on the net. Wouldn't that be delicious irony?

Yes, indeed, Fox purchased the vids. In fact, if you go on the church website and look in the bookstore, you will find an entire collection of the pastor’s tapes for sale.

Let’s just pretend for a second that Obama is telling the truth and he really didn’t know this side of his pastor—a man he’s been close to for 20 years.

What does this say for the character discernment of OB? What kind of cabinet would he choose if he can’t realize the true character of a person? What kind of judges would he appoint? How would he deal with foreign leaders?

It’s the old argument the left used on Nixon during Watergate. If he didn’t know, he’s an idiot. If he did know, he’s corrupt. And we all know what happened to Nixon.

Remember, Obama is the America hating guy who refused to wear an American flag pin, and refused to place his hand over his heart during the US anthem.

In politics things can change quickly, but I doubt Obama will make it out of the primary and if he does, Mc Cain will win the election.

IMO, the VP pick by Mc Cain will be crucial, because health wise, he has high odds of passing away during his tenure. But then they have kept Cheney ticking all these years so who really knows.

Just What Did Obama Know About Wright's Past Sermons? (Plenty)

“Barack Obama either agreed with what was preached from the Trinity pulpit, or he tuned it out and stayed around pretending to for political reasons. To say he stayed for 20 years but doesn't agree with Wright's preaching is incredible denial. It'd be like a man buying White Sox season tickets for 20 years, attending the games, and saying he's not a fan.”

Obama’s supporters want us to ignore this story… just push it under the rug. While they’ll align Republicans with any obscure pastor who does or says something controversial, they’re trying to convince us that Obama’s 20-year long close relationship with Wright, including his effective endorsement of him, his church and rhetoric with a $22,500 donation in 2006 is irrelevant.

“When Obama decided against wearing an American flag pin, we may all have been a bit too quick to accept his rationale, too quick to find that issue unimportant. Now, that American flag pin has gotten a lot bigger for a lot of us, especially in light of what may have been and may still be Obama’s deeper, and, perhaps, secret, less than patriotic beliefs about America.”

“Wright says that blacks can’t be expected to sing God Bless America because of racism. Obama doesn’t salute the flag during the National Anthem. That sure strikes me as an amazing coincidence since Obama swears he never heard Wright say anything against America.”

Yes, they have a web site - but I don’t think you’ll be getting any DVD from there!

http://www.tucc.org/about.htm

Here’s an interesting link to some text of a 2003 sermon and explains why “O” won’t salute the flag - he needs to be MADE to defend this...
http://media.www.thehilltoponline.com/media/storage/paper590/news/2003/01/21/Campus/Jeremiah.Wright.Delivers.Powerful.Sermon-347724.shtml

“President Bush confuses people into thinking the flag is what should be worshipped,” Wright said. “That is government-sponsored religiosity.”

re Trinity’s web page - could you send me the page link to the tapes?

I can’t seem to find it. I have the link to the site -

http://www.tucc.org/about.htm

I just may be that the Bullfrog and his church leaders will not agree to have these tapes - which they thoroughly believe in = removed...?

Once on the site, just go to AKIBA Bookstore and then type “Wright” into the search box.

http://cbs2chicago.com/topstories/Obama.Blacks.Quiet.2.337535.html Thanks for the link - very informative. ""Those 'quiet riots' that take place every day are born from the same place as the fires and the destruction and the police decked out in riot gear and the deaths," Obama said" He keeps referring the the "quiet riots" like what was going on before the Rodney King riots - and says these "quiet riots" are still going on...which means what? Just wait until I'm in charge and the quiet riots will erupt and we'll be in charge?

I goes to Katrina and says the poverty and inequality for the blacks was going on for many decades before Katrina, but fails to mention that N. O. had been under BLACK DEMOCRAT rule for decades.

I tells about how the black churches "were generous" in helping after Katrina but doesn't mention all the white churches and white people that donated millions of dollars and countless man hours helping.

And on it goes.

WE need to keep in mind that these 'quiet riots' have been simmering for years - and the LA riots may well erupt across this land once the militant blacks - who do not follow the teachings or the DREAM of MLK Jr.

How many of them today even realize that MKL Jr. was a - gasp - Republican?

The blacks that follow his DREAM are - Republicans.

The people who fought from the very beginning for the end of slavery, for black rights have been/are - Republicans.

The blacks of today have been sold snake oil by the democrats.

They should take a look at this site - and anything there they don't believe, they can check the truth of by GOOGLING. http://www.nationalblackrepublicans.com/
