I think he has a problem of Gov’t tracking financial transactions of your money.
That’s fine and dandy, but the laws governing banking transactions were around long before 911
Yeah, its actually very disturbing that we are watched so closely. If the “watchers” were beyond corruption it could be ok, but they aren’t. I wonder how many blackmail attempts, insider trading and other “nice” activiites have been by those who get free access to our financial transactions, emails and other private info sources.
I heard something about misuse of campaign funds.Paul is such an a$$.
He certainly does, and he (Cong. Paul) makes a valid point there. Should banks be required to report to Big Brother every transaction over x dollars that any customer participates in? Where in the Constitution does Congress have the power to compel such snooping by private entities over private citizens?
ALL libertarians have a problem with that. Although libertarians are also for legalizing prostitution, we're expressing "Spitzerfreude', because Spitzer himself is now aware what pure evil the money laundering and cash seizure laws can do in the hands of the vengeful.
When these laws were passed, the federosaurus promised to use them only against terrorists - no, wait - against child pornographers. No, wait - against tax evaders. No, wait - against some guy stepping out on his wife.
