The liberal media has beaten the “hate Nixon” drum endlessly for the past few decades. The man was a pretty good President; didn’t plan a break-in, was too busy with foreign policy problems to fool with petty stuff. His sin was in the cover up. However, “Watergate” has been the mantra of the left, given a rest only by “Iran Contra” for a time in an attempt to destroy Reagan, then “Bush Lied - People Died” in an attempt to destroy Bush. That’s right. At least, Nixon had the decency of some shame (overblown if you ask me) and the Republicans in Congress had some scruples (overblown if you ask me) and Nixon had the grace and decency to leave - unlike Bubba Clinton, besmircher of young women under his authority and perjurer extraordinaire.
