Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson, taking the campaign a bit meta on a conference call today, attacked Obama for attacking Clinton, and compared him to a notorious Clinton foe.
"When Senator Obama was confronted with questions over whether he was ready to be Commander-in-Chief and steward of the economy, he chose not to address those questions, but to attack Senator Clinton," Wolfson said. "I for one do not believe that imitating Ken Starr is the way to win a Democratic primary election for president."
Wolfson was attacking Obama's explicit strategy, in the wake of his March 4 losses, to attack elements of Clinton's record on the grounds of secrecy, and to revisit the questions raised by Clinton foes in the 1990s and earlier. Obama has demanded Clinton's tax returns, cited delays in releasing her White House schedules, and even made reference to trades in cattle futures in the late 1970s that became a subject of allegations during the White House years.
Wolfson also responded to the substance of Obama's complaint, that Clinton hasn't released her recent tax returns, and to the reminder today that Clinton (via Wolfson) attacked her 2000 Senate rival, Rick Lazio, for failing to release his tax returns.
"Over 20 years of the Clintons' tax returns are part of the public record," he said, referring to their White House years and also to her more recent Senate disclosure forms. "Everyone knows we have made clear that all of the post-White House tax returns will be put out by the campaign on or about tax time – April 15," he said, though he didn't explain why they wouldn't be out sooner."

LOL...so the Dems are saying that it is not just Republicans who are evil. They have their share of “conspirators” too. So nice to hear it admitted outright - a fact they have tried to hide for so long. If Obama does nothing else (and I am not supporting him for POTUS), I will be thankful if he is successful in putting the witch where she belongs...at the bottom of the trash heap with Bubba.
Clintonian snake Wolfson is doing a twofer here.
First, he's implying that it was the prosecutor Starr who was the evildoer, rather than the Rodham/Clintons; and...
Second, he tries to disarm Obama's rightful illustrations of Rodham/Clinton malfeasance before he says them, by associating them with Mr. Starr.
Hillary Rodham's sick, Alinskyesque obsession for power should scare everyone.
Even Democrats.

Transparency concerning tax returns has not always been the course of the Clintons as we know.
She is hesitating because she knows her 2006 tax returns are suspect.
Hillary is treacherous. Period.
The Clintonistas are lying about the tax returns, of course.
But on the issue of namecalling, these things go by levels of how much they don’t like you.
Level 1: They don’t like you a little - You are like Dick Cheney
For example: Sean Hannity is like Dick Cheney (they consider this to be an insult). Also note that Dick Cheney is not like Dick Cheney. Dick Cheney is like Hitler (see below)
Level 2: They don’t like you a lot - You are like Ken Starr
For example: Barack “Sweet Home Al” Obama is like Ken Starr
Level 3: They really hate you - You are like Hitler
For example: Dick Cheney, as mentioned above, is like Hitler. President Bush actually is Hitler.
However, the real intended recipients are the well-heeled, monied members of Kneepad Central.
Meanwhile a thorough Googling, Lexus/Nexus search reveals:
Starr was never impeached.
Starr was never disbarred.
Starr was never reprimanded by a Bar Association.
Boy the comments on the Politico link are hysterical. The dems are in open warfare.
Obama has nowhere NEAR the gravitas of Mr. Starr!
But it is beginning; the unraveling of the Clinton years burried by the press. Whoppee, here it comes.
She’s got plenty more aides to make stupid accusations at her orders and then be fired. ;’)
