As I commented in earlier post yesterday and today, does anyone NOT believe that one of the principal reasons we are saddled with this RINO and the “true” conservatives (few that they were) were eliminated, is exactly that: of DemoRats and moderates having voted in early primaries and caucuses for the Republicans they perceived as weakest/easiest to beat and the least conservative?
Thus, why is it not fitting for some of us to have made an attempt to repay them in kind?
BTW, this was the first time in 44 years, that I voted for a D—when back in 1964, I voted for LBJ)
Much of what I’ve witnessed in postings here over the past many years, points to a [perceived] lack of leadership among Republicans and an unwillingness to fight fire with fire re: the Democrats--a shortage of b*lls, if you will. It appears that Republicans have become a party of wusses.
So now, when some want to take the fight to the Dhummies and give them a taste of their own medicine, (i.e., as they want to choose our nominee, why not exercise our right to attempt to influence same) there is a revolt among quite a few who suggest we should be laboring under some semblance of the “Queensbury Rules of Boxing?” Give me a break!!!
All one has to do is watch the Dems reaction today--coupled with the Lame Stream Media pundits and reporters wringing their hands and being as upset as the Dems are, claiming that this was somehow “not kosher”--to realize that they ALL have their knickers in a bunch over this; are apoplectic over the thought of a protracted and “bloody” continuation of their campaign, to realize that whether or not the cross over vote helped Hillary, not to realize it is having the desired affect.
Another little aside (and this is hearsay, though I don’t doubt it happened) is that supposedly, a Republican woman remarked during a caucus in Texas that regarding the Clinton telephone ringing ad, that if Cindy (McCain’s wife) answered the phone at 3:00 a.m. it would not be because she didn’t know where her spouse was—or some such comment.
Everyone apparently thought it was funny, that is except, Juan McLame. He supposedly immediately distanced himself from this joke and again, promised to take the high road in his campaign.
He will continue to “reach across the aisle” throughout the campaign. Count on it. Makes me want to puke.
Damn the Queensbury Rules, lets take off the gloves and begin to seriously beat them about the head and shoulders. PC be damned.
Sadly, we can NOT expect McCain, the RNC, the media, or anyone else to mount a serious attack against B.O., less they be vilified and portrayed as bigots and racists. They are all scared witless.
IMHO, race trumps gender and B.O., because this fact, would be the more formidable candidate to beat come November.
I can’t stand McCain and though I don’t want to see either B.O. or HRC sitting in the oval office, I fear that this old man (and I are one also) just does NOT have it in him to wage an all-out war, which is what is needed to defeat either one—or any Democrat.
McCain should look to the late, great Green Bay Packers Coach, Vince Lombardi: “Winning isn’t everything—it’s the only thing.”
Hell, one of McCain’s media advisors has refused to attack B.O. and will leave McCain’s campaign if B.O. wins the nomination.
What we should be doing is rejoicing (at least temporarily) at the discomfiture and quandary “they” are experiencing and explore other avenues to help extend this malaise as well as exacerbate this condition over a protracted period of time.
As for November, as I live in a state (Vermont) whereby my vote for a Conservative (IF THERE WERE ANY, WHICH THERE ARE NONE AND WHERE THE SOCIALIST OUTNUMBER US CONSERVATIVE BY ABOUT 10,000 TO 1) would be akin to passing gas in a hurricane—no one would notice—I am going to devote my energies and funnel my contributions to Representatives (no chance in Senate) in OTHER states who are [true] Conservatives and work toward an uphill battle to regain control of the House.
As far as the Presidential elections, there’s nary a dime’s bit a difference between all 3 candidates—all liberals, separated only by degrees thereof.
Last but not least, it dawned on me (based on the fury that is being aimed generally at Rush as well as those of us who crossed over—coupled with the vicious personal attacks against Clinton) that Rush’s comments this afternoon regarding the Clinton Derangement Syndrome being so intense and the hatred so deep, that there are some that would as soon see Obama win the election rather than Hillary even at the expense of having a Republican being President—and sadly, (though I hate the Clintons as much as the next) I’m inclined to agree with his premise.

i do think that some Dems voted for McCain thinking he would be easy to beat (though i am not so sure that will be the case). HOwever i also think that a good chunk of Dems who voted McCain just dont like their candidate and voted for McCain because they see him as a “different” Republican, moderate, veteran etc.

While I'd love to see the Beast defeated in the primaries, having her limping into the general works for me as well. If Obama comes out on top, it should be one largest landslide victories since the Rats nominated Mondale.
We just have to keep the heat up on McCain to make sure he doesn't go running more left than he has.
He's made it clear that he despises conservatives. I'm making it clear that the feeling, at least from this conservative, is mutual.
Judging from the differences in the numbers of people who voted GOP vs Dim in most of the primaries, I do not buy this claim that so many Dimocrats crossed over.
