I’m in favor - I can see, chemically, how it can happen - just add water and the bacteria’s chemical process. After all, methane is just comprised of carbon and hydrogen.
Articles like this make my want to switch over to the biosciences before going onto nanotechnology.

So this madman thinks that God has given him the "keys of life?" - It's amazing how loosely the word 'create' is used by these self-agrandizing dreamers.

The limiting part of the equation isn't designing an organism, it's the difficulty of extracting high concentrations of CO2 from the air to feed the organisms, the scientist said in answer to a question from Page. How can that be? Haven't we turned 99% of the atmosphere into C02?

... it's the difficulty of extracting high concentrations of CO2 from the air to feed the organisms, the scientist said...Why not go to where the concentrations of CO2 are high? Say the stack of a fossil fuel power plant? You've already got CO2 concentrated to ~14%. And that would be a wonderful perpetual motion machine, too. Coal in the front door and octane out the back door.

Sure, why not? IT’s called “ethanol”.

"
Was it BYOH? (Bring your own Hallucinogens)?" Fear not!
When you find yourself in a tight town like Monterey, there is always a solution. In this case, a short drive to the northeast, to the little town of Marina, where the candy flows freely.
