Hate to burst your bubble, but Yeshua (Jesus) and His first generation of followers were all Torah-observant Jews, not Catholics. Even after Gentiles were accepted in, what you now call Christianity was considered by everyone to be a sect of Judaism called "the Way" or "the sect of the Nazarenes," not a separate religion.

Somehow, I doubt that Saul of Tarsus considered Followers of Jesus to be "just another sect of Judaism". Maybe the Apostle Paul felt that way after his Conversion on the Road to Damascus but I seriously doubt he thought the first Christians were just another sect of Jews before he announced to the world that he had met the same Jesus that he had been persecuting the Followers of...
