Obama's Silence on Kaddafi
Talking Points Memo ^ | 02.27.08 | Josh Marshall

Posted on 02/27/2008 6:11:36 PM PST by george76

Can we ignore Sen. Obama's silence about Muammar Kaddafi?

We know that Louis Farrakhan has said positive things about Barack Obama. And he's not the only one. This is the same Louis Farrakhan who has travelled to Libya to meet with and say positive things about Kaddafi, who has long-standing ties to terrorism.

And that's not all. The former pastor at Obama's church, Jeremiah Wright, has not only said positive things about Farrakhan. In the 1980s, he went on a trip with Farrakhan to ... you guessed it, Libya, to meet with Kaddafi.

With all of Obama's ties to Kaddafi and all Kaddafi's ties to terrorism, not to mention a lot of Muslims and Arabs ... how much longer can Obama stay silent on his relationship to Kaddafi?

Does he support Kaddafi? ... Will he denounce Kaddafi... ?

These questions won't go away.

Kadaffi has pretty much turned over a new leaf and renounced terrorism.

We are in the process of restoring diplomatic relations, if we haven’t done so already.

The embargo has ended.

I’m not sure why we’d want to beat him over the head at the moment.

He has blood on his hands. We should have pounded his sand box until it resembled a sheet of glass.

But then... my reasons are personal.

We can't take the risk.

When in doubt,

Vote him out.

We put enough pressure on him that he totally renounced his WMD program and turned it over to us.

I guess short of him killing himself, he’s done everything we wanted.

Pressure, being the operative word there... and watching our "Cowboy" roll out troops right into Saddams places left little doubt of what would happen to him if he did not comply. Not out of his heart, but because of this creatures own survival instinct for his life, unlike the life he tore away from so many others.

I guess short of him killing himself, he’s done everything we wanted.

He has not accepted personal blame, nor has he been personally held accountable for his actions or faced justice.

One day, hopefully he will. Satan will have a special place in hell for him, and yes, I really do wish that meeting will happen soon.

Kadaffi hasn’t renounced anything. He got caught with a chinese nuke weapons kit by way of nk and pakistan and had to give up the goods so he didn’t end up like saddam. He still mouths off and will be back to his old ways as soon as hussein obama is President (God forbid).

I’m no fan of him, and certainly am not trying to defend him here, but I think trying to make a news story out of Obama not blasting him is ridiculous.

I noticed the TUCC.org site (Obama’s church — run by Rev. Jeremiah Wright) has been sanitized.

You can’t find a link or even reference to the Trumpet magazine — the one that honored Farrakhan with a lifetime achievement award, and an interview with special emphasis on black empowerment.

The Rev. Wright is retiring in early March. Hmmmm....

The rhetoric there has been toned down too. Gee, I wonder why....

Because of the Minister’s influence in the African American community, Trumpet Newsmagazine honors him this winter at its Sounds of the Shore gala with an Empowerment Award. It seemed a fitting tribute for a storied life well lived. And as our brief interview drew to a close and he thanked me for taking the time to talk to him, I could not help but think, the Minister, the man with whom I had been so casually speaking, truly epitomized greatness.

Obama is so calm and ‘cool’ that he is frightening, almost like a robot.

“Barack Obama has been very careful not to position himself as Jesse Jackson or Reverend Al Sharpton as a promoter of “The Black Cause.” He has been groomed, wisely so, to be seen more as a unifier, rather than one who speaks only for the hurt of Black people.”

Barack Obama is a Muslim. He's Raila Odinga's cousin and friend. His ancestors were Arab Slave Traders. His entire life is a fraud because he's told everyone he's "black" so that they make the RACIST conclusion that he's African.

http://www.freedomsenemies.com/_more/obama.htm

Barak Obama is 50% Caucasian, 43.75% Arab, and only 6.25% Negro-African. He doesn't have the lawful 12.5% Negro-African to legally claim to be African-American. Barak Obama is ARAB-AMERICAN.

From an email from someone who returned to the States on Feb 11 this year: “We were asked everywhere about the Presidential race in America. There was great interest. The Jews came up to us and asked us many questions. They said they do not want the Clintons again. They warned us that Obama is a Muslim, not a Christian. In Egypt, the Arabs said the same thing to us; they said Obama is Muslim and they are amazed that Americans would consider electing a Muslim President of America!!”

Kadaffi has pretty much turned over a new leaf and renounced terrorism.

Which has been mostly due to the actions of Reagan and GWB. Reagan knocked on his door, and GWB reminded him when Saddam was dragged out of his “spider hole”. Kadaffi has not become one of the good guys, but he knows when it is in his best interest to keep a low profile and not make waves.
