Is Hillary Clinton the Rudy Giuliani of the Democrat party?
2/12/08 | VANITY

Posted on 02/12/2008 5:21:17 AM PST by Liz

Hillary and Rudy's campaign similarities are striking. Let us count the ways:

BLAME GAME

CLINTON Hillary's removal of campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle was disloyal to Hispanics says Steven Ybarra, a California superdelegate (heads voting-rights committee of DNC's Hispanic Caucus).....Clinton is looking for Texas and Ohio Latino voters March 4, and had scored a win with California Hispanics Ybarra said, and the loss of Solis Doyle, a child of Mexican immigrants, just weeks before the Texas primary, where 36% of the population is Hispanic, was "dumb as a stump." GIULIANI Complaints are circulating among Rudy Giuliani's hometown loyalists about his big-name Washington advisers - including former Karl Rove aide Chris Henick and campaign manager Mike DuHaime - whom they blame for pinning the ex-mayor's White House run on Florida's primary. Campaign big shot Tony Carbonetti in late December cut off money to New Hampshire. Billy Kristol (Fox pundit) also complained that he and his daddy's crowd backed a loser who dumped his wife to marry a woman of questionable morals who announced on national TV that she wanted to sit in on Cabinet meetings.

CIGARS

CLINTON Bill used a cigar on WH intern Moanica Lewinsky. GIULIANI Judy Giuliani (now-his wife) stalked the married Mayor in a cigar bar.

DUMPING SPOUSE

CLINTON Bill's adulterous behavior as head of state was despicable. He diddled an underling, then denied the allegations. GIULIANI Rudy diddled several mistresses on the public dime.

FBI FILES

CLINTON Hillary has many FBI files; candidates running for prez should ask the FBI to release their files to the public. GIULIANI Rudy pushed Bush to hire his pal mobbed-up Bernie Kerik for the Homeland job; the plan was for Bernie to get a hold of FBI files for Rudy who was planning a run for prez. Kerik is Rooty's obedient yes-man, former driver, bodyguard, Police Commissioner, business partner and admitted felon (in that order) who facilitated a lot of the Mayoral shady doings.

EXTRAMARITAL ACTIVITY

CLINTON Hillary was very understanding when told his staff needed the Jaws of Life to pry her husband off of women on the campaign trail. GIULIANI Rooty flaunted his adultery, parading his mistress around to mayoral functions. He publicly humiliated his wife and children, then dumped his wife at a press conference. He ordered the NYPD to walk his mistress' dog take her and her friends shopping while his wife and children looked on. Rooty's tawdry personal life was unacceptable---even for blasé New York sophisticates.

SPOUSE AS PROP

CLINTON 2008 Hillary has had to shut Bill up b/c every time he surfaced he looked like he was campaigning for a third term. GIULIANI Rudy’s wife “forgetting” a secret past marriage; and interrupting Giuliani's speech to the National Rifle Association with a cutesy cell phone call to say hi.

LIFESTYLES Sex is merely recreation and abortion is just a handy form of birth control to both candidates.

NUMBER OF DELEGATES

CLINTON Hillary has about 1165 delegates and had to lend her campaign $5 million. GIULIANI Rudy spent $60 million dollars and got one delegate that he shares with Duncan Hunter. Some say Rudy's 61 days consecutive campaigning in Florida also contributed to his defeat---the more voters saw and heard him, the more they disliked him.

NEGATIVE COATAILS

CLINTON No candidate Bill Clinton campaigned for has ever won office. GIULIANI Giuliani's campaigning for them helped defeat numerous local candidates in the Repub debacle of Nov 2006.

FIREWALL

CLINTON Hillary is dismissing her early losses and is looking to big state like Texas (with illegal latinos voting under several identities) for a huge win. GIULIANI Rudy's screwy strategy was to SAY he was avoiding early primary/caucus states (while campaigning furiously in those same states) and that he was saving himself for Florida (where he came in a distant third).

HATES CONSERVATIVES

CLINTON Natch. GIULIANI Rudy's losing campaign strategy was focused on religiously cleansing the Repub party and kicking conservatives to the curb.

ENDORSED BY BILLY KRISTOL

GIULIANI Giuliani alone shares that honor---an honor which hastened Rudy's humiliating defeat. But you never know---if Billy's current fave, McCain, tanks---Kristol might go over to the Democrat side. In any case, Billy has to do what his daddy says or else daddy will take the magazine away from him.

NOT PAYING STAFFERS

CLINTON Clinton staffers reportedly have offered to go without pay. GIULIANI Right before he quit the race. Giuliani's campaign staffers were not being paid.

TESTOSTERONE

CLINTON Hillary has plenty. GIULIANI Rudy? Who knows? Among Giuliani’s embarrassments that led to his exiting a losing race: Rudy had NYPD detectives on the public payroll act as dog-walkers, personal valets and chauffeurs for his mistress, and inviting them to her Hamptons condo to stand around while he porked her.

SECRECY

CLINTON Her husband twice sworn to the presidency refuses to reveal the names of donors to the Clinton Library and the Clinton Foundation were solicited from the Oval Office while he was a sitting president. We should withhold federal funding for the operation of any library named for any president, Republican or Democrat, if that library has been built with funds from secret sources. If Bill is going to campaign on Hillary's behalf, and if she wants to be the candidate of change, Hillary should show some leadership and use her newly found voice to demand full and immediate disclosure. No wonder voters don't trust the Clintons: The pervasive scent of "quid pro quo" follows them wherever they go. If Hillary becomes president Bill be forced to register as a foreign agent due to the mysterious uranium deal in Kazakhstan and overseas contributions to the Clinton Library and Clinton Foundation.

GIULIANI Rudy‘s secrecy about his global business dealings (with top-secret clients salivating over profits from Rooty controlling the $trillion dollar US budget), contributed to his defeat. Forbes magazine says Rudy's consulting firm is entangled in petty penny stock deals and unseemly projects that might wreck his ambitions. Giuliani Partners has accepted fees from over-the-counter penny stocks, made alliances that have gone nowhere and formed pacts with businesses and individuals that have come under scrutiny by regulators and law enforcement officers, says the new issue on newsstands today. Forbes cited a number of deals that "show the sort of carelessness that suggests either poor judgment or inattention." It cited the firm's foray into Lighting Science Group. Giuliani's banking arm took a warrant for 1.6 million shares at 60 cents, a fee of $150,000 and a promise to raise cash. The firm went bankrupt. It's lost $412,000 on sales of $137,000 in its last six months. Another failed Giuliani venture is CamelBak, a maker of a hands-free canteens for Marines in Iraq. It started out under Giuliani's consulting arrangement with $31 million in sales, but got run into the ground with various missteps, including having the disgraced Bernie Kerik sit on its board. Forbes said Giuliani's most controversial deal was throwing in with a 2004 project with Applied DNA Sciences, which promised to outsmart counterfeiters by inserting bits of DNA from plants into cosmetics and pills to prevent bootleg versions. Its head, Richard Langley Jr., had a shady past, having pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and commercial bribery in another penny stock scam.

KAZAKHSTAN

CLINTON Bill Clinton used his political muscle to get a millionaire businessman a lucrative mineral deal in Kazakhstan, the guy donates $31 million to the Clinton Foundation as evidence of Bill Clinton's apparent influence-peddling in Kazakhstan pales in comparison to the mysterious funding sources for Bill's $165 million presidential library.

GIULIANI Giuliani held a campaign fund-raiaer in Kazah, and is helping China go nuclear. Giuliani's law firm Bracewell & Giuliani (with two offices in Kazakhstan), said the that Kazakh companies are coming of age and expanding globally. It’s also a way to shore up partners other than Russia for its nuclear-related industry. Kazah hopes to the world's leading nuclear transit corridor. With Giuliani's help, an American company Westinghouse has been allowed to deliver its newest third-generation nuclear plant to China. Actually, if Rudy has his way, Americans are quite possibly going to pay for these nuclear plants to be built. The US federal Ex-Im Bank http://www.exim.gov) approved up to $5 billion in loan guarantees or even direct loans for this project back in 2005, although apparently, no specific funding guarantee or allocation has yet been made. That would change if Rudy gets presidential power. Back in June, 2007, a Human Events aericle reported "Administration Poised to Subsidize China’s Nuclear Industry," ---covers the Ex-Im political situation up to that point. In November, 2007, a technical article on Red China's nuclear power situation from the World Nuclear Association, "Nuclear Power in China," has a bit about the funding and more detail about what contracts nuclear players are already involved in the PRC. No because if she were, more people would be opposed to Hillary than they were to Rudy Guiliani.

For whatever reason, it is much easier to find a picture of Giuliani in a dress than to find a picture of Hillary in a dress in an internet search.

Funny - just by reading the title, I thought of some variation of Rudy looking better in a dress.

So did 5-6 previous posters...

Rooty: "Most of Clinton's policies are the same as mine."

And the mutt is still 'prolly' trying to figure out why he tanked with Republicans, let alone Conservatives.

Only while at his Long Island 'compound'.

(If he was elected the cross dressing freak would have likely changed the name of 'Camp David' to 'Camp Doris'.)

Uncle Remus?

ROTFL.

Yeah---that is a puzzler. But everybody but a RINO could figure that out.

"Yeah---that is a puzzler. But everybody but a RINO could figure that out."

In the political shell game, while conservatives were looking at Giuliani, the RINOs sneaked McKrisol by them.

I thought you were referring to Rudy's brilliant strategy of "Ignore my string of losses: Wait till Florida" and HillBill's "Ignore my recent and ongoing string of losses: Wait till Texas and Ohio, now!" Also the running out of money, the musical chairs in the campaign HQ...

Rudy Redux?

Yeah, but for a long long time, the RINOS thought they were riding a sure-winner in Rudy——the guy was the “front-runner” for ages-—all the polls said so (snicker).

Little Billy and the Boys never figured when Rudy finally started campaigning, he’d tank like a dead-weight going down a 300 ft cistern.

Remember, Rudy was “saving himself” for Florida-—he campaigned there 61 days non-stop......and came in a distant third.

That’s when Billy (in your brilliant words) showed McCain the Queen of Diamonds. Lieberman was sent in to make sure McCain stayed on message. McCain took hold of the RINO’s Hundred Year War theme like a baby at its mother’s breast.

Yup, I’m referencing Rudy’s brilliant (ahem) strategy of “Wait till Florida” and Hill’s “Wait till Texas and Ohio.”

WRAPUP Conservatives writing his epitaph insist Giuliani's baffle-gab to dupe the electorate flopped miserably. The cross-dressing abortion worshipper and gun-grabber's launched a whacked-out bizarre strategy of "saving himself for the big states."

RUDY'S BIGGEST CON Up until the bitter end, Giuliani was duping the voters. He calculatedly announced his top staffers were working gratis---b/c Giuliani wanted voters to think he managed to spend all his campaign money without having actually competed in any of the early primary/caucus states.

BIGTIME BS. The truth is that Rudy spent all his money because he HAD competed in all those states, and he lost dismally. The number of times Rooty went to New Hampshire to campaign was second only to Romney.

Rudy just CLAIMS he hasn't been competing because the results show he is a bigtime loser, a political reject, trounced by primary/caucus voters.

Giuliani practically lived in Florida---he frantically campaigned 61 days straight---and could not even get transplanted New Yorkers in Fla to rally behind him. Giuliani's flim-flam made him lose whatever credibility he had left (not much). The more voters saw of him, the more the heard, the more they dislked him.

Giuliani was plagued by lingering questions about his tawdry personal life, and was done in by a disastrous campaign strategy. His own words did him in. Many Floridians who pulled the lever for McCain or Romney told news organs deserted Giuliani because he had failed in Iowa, New Hampshire, Michigan and South Carolina.

Goodbye Global Rudy---the flop heard 'round the world. One pundit said Rooty's failure was due to the worst-run campaign in two millenia.

Amen.

Yeah, but for a long long time, the RINOS thought they were riding a sure-winner in Rudy——the guy was the “front-runner” for ages-—all the polls said so (snicker).

During that time, 'Special Report with Brit Hume', was unwatchable. Lil Billy Boy, Fred and even old Dem Mort were making me sick. Rudy this, Rudy that, Rudy has it wrapped - blah, blah, blah -- and this was in AUGUST. Like when he went to the Iowa State fair: 'Rudy WOWED Them'. (vomit hurl)

Little Billy and the Boys never figured when Rudy finally started campaigning, he’d tank like a dead-weight going down a 300 ft cistern.

Right.
Like Rudy and his little NYC Universe, they live in a little 'Beltway Universe'. Anything outside it doesn't matter and to them the people who live out there in 'flyover country' (which would include the hinterlands of NH) are nothing but inbred simpletons with three teeth whose opinion is meaningless. The only problem is that 'meaningless opinion' is a vote.

And for the life of me I will never understand Rooty's (cough) 'logic' that a few thousand retired Jews from NYC (enough with the p.c. phrase 'transplanted North Easterners') were going to give him a win in Florida. If that was really HIS idea and thinking it proves he was unfit for office because that's just dumb and so was he. It also proves that he and 'his people' really do think that the center of the Universe is NYC.

N-i-c-e take.....all of it....the following is especially worthy of a repeat.

........I will never understand Rooty's (cough) 'logic' that a few thousand retired Jews from NYC (enough with the p.c. phrase 'transplanted North Easterners') were going to give him a win in Florida. If he really thought that, it proves he was unfit for office.......

Everytime Rooty mentioned NYC (on the campaign trail and in the debates), you could almost hear America utter a collective groan. Rooty at his dumbest---actually thinking NYC mattered to the rest of the US. Course that's all he had to run on---all he knew---Mayor NYC. He was forced to cut out mentioning 9/11 when late night monologists started lampooning him.

His overall debate performances were laughable---when other candidates were speaking, he had this quirky habit of moving around, not paying attention.

Actually, Giuliani was a very good friend of the NY-based Israeli-centric crowd---he tore up a check from the Saudi Prince (thus antagonizing SA---one of America's most important allies). Rooty also demanded Israel be asked to join NATO (geography, anyone?). Under a Giuliani admin, Mideast peace talks would have gone on, and on, and on.

BTW, remember when Rooty dropped out and said he was going to campaign for McCain? Did you happen to catch any of Rooty's campaign stops for McCain? (/sarc)

ROTFLOL-----even nutty McCain knows Rooty campaigning for him would be political suicide.
