Sen. Thad Cochran has shifted his support to Sen. John McCain for president. Cochran made the announcement in a statement Thursday after his first choice, former Massachusetts governor, Mitt Romney, dropped out of the Republican race.
Mississippi's other senator, Roger Wicker, a Republican, had endorsed former Tennessee senator, Fred Thompson, who has also withdrawn from the race. Wicker has not announced his support for another candidate.
GOP Cong. Chip Pickering endorsed McCain last year. Cong. Bennie Thompson, a Democrat, has endorsed fellow Democrat, Barack Obama for president.

” Ive seen all that. Roberts is a fine judicial mind. Hillary or Obamas picks would neuter Roberts however.”
Did Songbird specifically state his nominees would be STRICT ORIGINALISTS or men of “good character” like Alito and Roberts ?
Hmm?
Songbird will nominate lawyers of good character who will uphold his BCRA. You know it, we all know it. Pick your poison.

BS, I say!
“No, he has not. He says we sould deport the 2 (two) million criminal illegals. Guess what Mr McAmnesty, ALL of the (12 million plus) illegal aliens ARE criminals!!”
Interesting how you all are acting like 1 issue voters. I also wish McCain would do better in the illegal immigration department, but he’s not pushing it like he once was and vows to strengthen the border.
But that aside, he’s pro-life and promises to appoint conservative justices, to protect the border, etc. But a lot of people here are struggling to see his current positions and are totally focused on his past. Once again, think of Mitt Romney.
Not really....just pondering.....wish John Wayne was running for President!
Ha ha.
Cochran was one of the sell-outs who endorsed Romney. If he can endorse a gay rights gun-grabber, he surely had no problem flip-flopping around to endorse McCain.

Oh? Went and signed Jeff Sessions' Pledge to Secure America's Borders, then, has he? Hmmmmm?
Ah. I see. Just another baldfaced Shills-for-Juan-McCain lie, then. Carry on.
His 'past' of 3 months ago? Last year? Hey, he's consistent, I'll give him that...A consistent RINO.
Nobody is buying what you're peddling.
Yeah, he “promises” to appoint good SCOTUS but has already stated that Alito is to far right!.
McCain is a POS that you will NEVER get elected. Enjoy your compromises.
I’m not a “one-issue voter.” But there is one issue that marks a candidate as unacceptable: Global Warming. Anyone buying into that scam is dangerous. McCain is doubly so, since he has actually proposed legislation that would - and this is NOT an overstatement - end capitalism in America.
Research McCain-Lieberman.
No one who believes strongly - without being willing to consider alternate facts - in man-made Global Warming is an acceptable candidate for President.

Which would YOU believe, a lifetime of deeds ( misdeeds ) or a speech of words at an opportune moment ! ! !
I've no desire to do anything to help the Clinton dynasty or to assist Obama in his support of Osama. All the stones and history in the world thrown at McCain won't change that. Nor will the teeming masses on FR who are now castigating Thompson for his support of McCain. Nor will all the "Jorge Bush" garbage throwers convince me that there is anything WORSE than a Hillary/Obama immigration plank that I guarantee would legalize 20 million RAT voters who would be forever unbeatable.
Great post
Beware the rino-plasty

So what you’re saying is do we board the nonstop flight to our perdition by electing Hillary or do we get a layover in purgatory for the duration of the McCain administration. I say let’s get to the final destination right away so we can start rebuilding sooner ! ! !
If Hillary wins I can’t wait to see the looks on the faces of all those who endorsed McCain. I may have to take the press release from the RNC that day and have it framed. It will be the absolute epitome of double speak, bureaucratese, and blame shifting.
