Limbaugh conceded on Wednesday's show that McCain appears to be well on his way to becoming the party's nominee. Limbaugh remains skeptical that McCain is sufficiently devoted to conservative principles. It's not just that McCain reaches out to Democrats, Limbaugh said, "it's that he's in league with them."

Telling us to all calm down wasn't enough? John McCain's a stubborn, cranky, mean old man. I think that's about the best we will get from him. A sudden love fest with conservatives would seem awkward anyway. He just doesn't like conservatives.
