"What should McCain say to the conservatives? What I love to hear his say is, "I'm sorry. I was wrong to turn my back on the base of the party, the conservatives. I realize that I can't get the conservatives' support, so I resign my office, and resign my campaign for the Presidency."
If he said those things and did resign his office and his campaign, I might be able to forgive him and respect him. But an ice machine in hell is more likely to happen than McAmnesty ever saying those things. If McAmnesty is on the ballot in November, I either vote third party or write-in Duncan Hunter, Fred Thompson, or Lou Dobbs (Lou gets it on stopping the illegal alien invasion and securing our borders and ports).

It will set us back 20 yrs but it is a price we will have to pay.I have decided that to get the party back to conservatism we need to send the message that if you are gonna sell us out we are going to show you the door. We can send the message that four years from now if you are not for conservative principles you need not apply. The biggest mistake Ronald Reagan made was choosing Geo. Bush for his running mate. He could have had any true conservative he wanted and he picked a RINO.

Another thing that's interesting is that the Democrat advisers like Bob Beckel and others act dumbfounded by the conservatives' disgust with McCain.
It's like Br'er Rabbit saying "But don't fling me in that briar patch."
The Democrats say they're scared of McCain. BULL!!!!!!
Then again, sometimes I wonder if they really don't want a lesser liberal that the democrats can support, rather than Hillary or Obama.
Do you think that the Democrats would put McCain over the top in November?

Rush and the rest of the RINOs are nothing but a bunch of egotistical blowhards, and I now question if they were ever real Republicans to begin with. They like Democrats so much, let them join them.

“If Hillary or Obama gets into office, then we’ll get more conservatives in the House and Senate?”
This is nonsense. Utter nonsense.

Liberalism does not compromise.
McCain becomes president... a liberal win. If he chooses Huckabee as VP... a double liberal win.
Either way, the liberals have won this election. I’m voting third party, because voting republican means voting liberal Fifth Column.

I think you will be disappointed to learn that history does not repeat itself in such simple ways.
With a Democrat Congress and Senate, it will take Hillary or Obama less than two years to permanently alter the calculus of this country.
Rush also knows that we do not win by losing.

I think you’re right. Get a “moderate” that goes along with a very large part of the liberal agenda, but has an “R” so as not to scare people off. This is the first national election I can recall in my 52 years where the so-far front runners offer varying degrees of liberalism.

McPita is nothing but a rino of the worst order, disloyal, backstabbing, liberal coddling, hothead. If you want that for a Republican President I'll fight your measily rino supporting, namby-pamby moderate existence with every conservative bone in my body.
There will be war in this republican party before it's all done. Now, is the time! NO MORE RINO'S!
Btw, conservatives WILL NOT yield to McPita and his moderate/independent/rino supporters. If you guys want to be part of this party, YOU have to come to the conservative values side and concede to us!!!

You're probably right. So why didn't the reverse happen in November 2000 when Republicans won total control? I can tell you why...because of RINOS, with McCain leading the pack.
It's no longer about winning or losing, it's about principles and believing in them. McCain will not receive my vote. Ever.

You are in the minority. If anything it is you who is the RINO.You are correct I probably am right now in the minority, but you moderate/rino McPainintheass supporters have to come and concede to us conservatives because moderate rino's like McPita are a deathnail to conservatism and the Republican Party. I won't allow that to happen.
I will do everything politically to fight you to your ilk for this parties soul. I won't vote for the other side, to take him out, but I will never support him and work diligently to get rid of him and his moderate, liberal coddling ways.
Can you explain to me how I'm the rino????
